Inconsequential.BYU losses - 9-1 on the season now. Did that hurt us or help us?
I disagree. If the Big12 championship was undefeated BYU vs Colorado, and Colorado wins it, BYU would be 12-1 and still a top 12 ranked team and definitely have a leg up on us.Inconsequential.
I'm taking the "under" on a three-loss team making the playoff, if that's what you're thinking. But admittedly, this is uncharted territory, so not all possible dynamics have been observed. That much, I'll conceded.I disagree. Hurt? Who said hurt? Why would any loss by any team ahead of us hurt??????
For starters, the OP did . . .Hurt? Who said hurt?
If the system valued recent season history more than early season history things could be different, but that's just another if.Still to much in play to determine if BYU losing amounts to anything in regards to our chance for playoffs.
I don't think we are getting in regardless, if one or 2 teams lose. We are currently 21 in the CFP rankings. Assuming we move up 2 spots, you are hoping 7-8 teams have a collapse, the odds are just to great.
I can't say if certain where the valuations lie, but it appears to give the appearance of a seasons totality as it should be.If the system valued recent season history more than early season history things could be different, but that's just another if.
