Against the rules, but I’m sure Arians could have helped with in-game coaching this year. I guess he knew it too.

As LionJim said in another thread, Staley is a baby in coaching terms. And the Spanos family is notoriously thrifty.

Those two things may have been what kept him safe. We’re he in Dallas or a number of other places, he’d be packing up.
