LOL....you have to be kidding. Gen X left their kids alone while both parents worked. We were literally kicked out of our houses so the Mom's that did stay home could clean and do their own thing. There are good and bad parents today....same as there ever was. This generational BS is just old men yelling at the clouds. Older generations didn't have their kids filmed 24x7 either. If kids cannot behave, the businesses are entitled to make these decisions. Behave or you lose privileges.
Blah, blah, blah.

I liked the Chicken Egg and Cheese Bagel better than the biscuit option but they did away with it. It held the hot sauce a lot better and didn’t crumble to pieces after a couple minutes like the biscuit does.

Chik-fil-a chicken is far to salty.

I think there should be more restaurants with limits to having kids under a certain age. Not every place has to be for kids and not every person has to cater to someone's child.

The only downside to this is that regardless of age, some people are just never going to mature.

Agree, the worst is when grandparents try to take the grandkids out. I feel bad for all servers in the 80's who had to deal with that situation when my grandmother took us out on Sundays. Kids running around and some old hag complaining her baked potato needed more sour cream

Chik-fil-a breakfast is so bangin'! Their biscuit sandwiches are great, eggs or chicken. The hashbrown bites are delicious, and the chicken minis are heaven in a box. It would probably be amazing on Sunday mornings when you're hungover from a night out and getting ready for a day of football, but the world will never know.

I'm sure this righteous sacrifice puts the decision makers there on the express lane to St. Peter's check-in kiosk.

I love CFA but not their breakfast. McD and Wendy's are significantly better IMO

Hell when I was 14 -15 I started working after school so I had money to actually do stuff on the weekends when not working or buy a car when I turned 16. I had no time to hang out after school. I think the main problem is common sense and common courtesy hit the crapper somewhere in the early 2000s.

Not enough kids working these days, at least around here. You'd think with minimum wage hikes they would but kids would rather play video games and their parents complain about it

Good for them, they should not have to babysit other peoples unruly kids. I am sure the parents will try to sue somebody over this.

We used to hang out at Roy rogers on Friday nights downtown. They were only place with bottomless sodas.

so
The chk fila in north Myrtle kept their dining room closed for two years? After Covid when the rest of us could seat inside after 6 weeks. Hour wait with at least 50-100 cars constant. The owner made a killing!!

Agree. Cannot eat Zaxby's chicken

Their bbq sauce is really good but it's oddly almost effervescent. It's like it has crack in it or something. Cheese bites are good, crinkle fries too limp and salty.

I like to have my birthdays at ChuckECheese, the waitresses are pretty and treat me great, like a born again child. They pat me on my head, I pat them "back...side"

Eh, if kids are being disruptive, loud, swearing, damaging property, annoying other guests - they need to get the boot. Sadly - it only takes a few to spoil it for everyone. One of the wineries we belong to quit allowing anyone under 21 after parents let their kids run all over the place. Now we can’t go unless our kids are otherwise occupied.

Why would you bring kids or anyone under 21 to a winery anyway?

Why would you bring kids or anyone under 21 to a winery anyway?

Because a lot of them are or started out for families (this is NoVA, not Napa) - they have food trucks, wood-fire oven pizzas, some have games for kids (cornhole, etc.) and lots of outdoor space to explore. Many are still welcoming to families, but some decided to get rid of anyone younger than 21. Some have dedicated spaces for both. It’s more experiential in NoVA and less about the wine tasting experience for the most part. If you ever had kids with lots of energy and wanted to let them play while you have some wine and pizza, family friendly wineries are the best.

When exactly did it become a thing that drive-thru traffic got priority over folks at the counter? I know it’s a better deal for the operator, but how did that evolution actually occur?

I don’t generally do fast food unless I’m on a road trip, and I coordinate a food stop with a pee break, and the latter function is discouraged at the drive-thru from what I’m told.

Actually, PARENTS SUCK today. It’s to much trouble having the kids in the house bothering them.
As a parent of two high school kids, I say BS to this. This is a gross and cynical generalization. Much like many of our friends, we love having our kids around. But kids need socialization and constantly want to hang out with their friends. I wish they would hang out with us more often.

Simple cost of labor and less to
Manage. So fast food figured out they could get away with it and with drive thru only it is awesome. We had two weeks where we sat people on the patio only and it was awesome having the inside closed to move around in, keep ac off and less to manage. But for us it was only two weeks then we sat people inside and ever since we have been hammered. 😎

I’m not gonna lump every parent of this. But as someone who works in education I a gree with the original statement.
there are tons of parents who when you call home regarding their kid they say something like, from 8 o’clock to 4 o’clock they’re your responsibility.

every restaurant or supermarket near our school now has signs that say max of 20 kids at one time. Tons of parents who when a school athletic event is over won’t come to the school to pick up the kids until 11 PM even though the game was over at 8:30.

Actually Chik fil a refuses to allow the woke mob to compromise their values. If only more franchises would place a value on family values and support of charities over profits maybe we wouldn’t have so many punks running around acting like ferrel animals.

A guy on my c8 forum has a great signature, paraphrased ‘I was spanked as a child so now I suffer from the condition ‘being respectful to others”.
now nobody yells at more clouds than my corvette brothers but every once in awhile I agree with something

We stopped going to the G-Man in State College in the 2000's when their rules changed-that ages 21 and older required for entry. Always had three or four grandkids with us on game day, middle and HS ages, so Irving's or the Deli were our spots to lunch.

I understand Primanti has a similar age rule for entry.

so they foster family values while they ban children and openly discriminate against anyone that doesn’t meet their christian standard?
no thanks!

They ban young adults who are just there to cause trouble and have no respect for society as a hole. Saying they discriminate anyone who does not meet their Christian standard is just an ignorant and completely false statement.

I have personally seen young adults who think they are gangsta punks swearing and causing a scene at fast food locations because they think they are cool. Really they just A product of poor parenting and a society that allows their bs. Ban them and flush them where they belong.
