without adult supervision. I don't have a problem with this.....

Poor or zero parental training (from birth) and lack of ensuing accountability is the root cause of these problems...at restaurants, in schools and everywhere else. The resulting embedded bad behavior then continues throughout the lives of most of these 'youngsters' who then get to pass this wonderfulness on to their children. Oh thrill, oh joy, oh rapture divine.

A lot of parents don't know how to be parents.

This is so true - I mean, I've been a parent for eight years and still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. I basically do what my parents did for the most part (well, I have more of an emphasis on education than they did... ;)) because when I was little, I just assumed my parents had been parents forever - now I know they too were learning from mistakes and growing each day. I feel for kids who don't have a caring, supportive family to rely on or go home to; I don't know that that is the case here, but has to be better things to do than cause a ruckus at a fast food restaurant (or maybe there isn't?). I lived abroad when I was 15 and had the comforts and containment of a military base to keep me in check (and a Marine for a dad); we had pretty much everything we needed at our disposal - tennis courts, baseball fields, movie theater, teen centers, skate parks, etc.

I know what it's like have a Marine dad. My dad was wounded on Iwo Jima in March of 1945. When I was growing up there was a lot of discipline in my house. My point was a lot of parents want to be their kid's best friend instead of being a parent.

Which means these parents learned from their parents.

Simple cost of labor and less to
Manage. So fast food figured out they could get away with it and with drive thru only it is awesome. We had two weeks where we sat people on the patio only and it was awesome having the inside closed to move around in, keep ac off and less to manage. But for us it was only two weeks then we sat people inside and ever since we have been hammered. 😎
a lot of things are easier to take when you're hammered

They ban young adults who are just there to cause trouble and have no respect for society as a hole. Saying they discriminate anyone who does not meet their Christian standard is just an ignorant and completely false statement.
oh, I guess I misunderstood the article. I thought they had banned ALL unaccompanied persons under 16 y/o.

Thanks for clarifying that it’s only those “who are just there to cause trouble and have no respect for society as a hole(sic)”.

Nice to see they will still accommodate the good kids.

"To those unaccompanied children and teens that have visited us and acted appropriately, we thank you. But we also apologize," the post reads. "Due to the numerous extreme behaviors of many of your peers, we must make a blanket rule covering anyone under the age of 16."
