The man deserves credit tonight. His D played lights out tonight. Was very happy to see Nick E absolutely losing his mind. Could he be stepping into that dawg role we’ve been missing? Same for Deebo. Those two have been different dudes the last couple of weeks.

Good pressure, good tackling, good coverage, 2 TOs. Well done.

I don't know how it looked on TV but Nick was an absolute beast. He set the tone for the defense.

One thing I will disagree. We had zero pressure until the middle of the 4th quarter. The game changed when we started getting some pressure.

3 TOs. INT, strip sack and strip in the open field.

They overall played great and gave the offense numerous golden opportunities that they wasted.

Our DBs were still getting beat pretty bad most of the night. Leary just wasn’t good enough to hit them.

You guys were awesome, crazy atmosphere! Y'all really had Leary rattled to start the game, he didn't know whether to scratch his *** or wind his watch, but he did settle in!

I watched some of the Tennessee game and there was a point where they were still in the game and UGa. was driving into their endzone and the place was like a tomb, I couldn't believe a packed house and it was virtually quiet, not at Willie B.

D got turnovers….UK dropped pass after pass…we got help. But the d played with emotion. Thankful for that. But I truly hope we play a 4 man line vs the taters. Their run game is our worry, pass game is simply effective when the run the ball.

Jordan S was a beast last night

Leary is one of the better QBs we have faced this year. I’m just glad we didn’t have a meltdown like we did with Florida

Nah, he might be the 5th or 6th best. But it was big for this D to not let a mediocre QB have a Heisman performance. That certainly breaks a sad trend.

I don’t think he’s that good, but there a number of shots where our DBs were beat badly and Leary just flat missed them.

I do think our D played unexpectedly well and bailed out our offense which was abysmal, but there were a number of moments when I exhaled in relief that Leary missed an open guy.

I, for one, am going to take a "wait and see" attitude regarding our defense. Kentucky and Vanderbilt were 2 of the 3 worst FBS offenses we have faced this season. Kentucky's is ranked number 98. Vandy is ranked number 109. Mississippi State's is ranked number 103. We have not beaten any FBS team ranked with a higher offense than Kentucky's. I'm not wanting to speak negatively. I'm just letting the numbers speak for themselves.

Defense did its job - kept us in the game until the offense finally woke up to win it.

Nick and Deebo channeled their inner DJ Swearinger… which is exactly what this team needs.

His deep ball accuracy could have earned him the nickname “Wild Thing”!

Yes, they did. With the offense as inept as it was, it felt like UK was a play or two away from pulling away from us, but the D never let that happen.
