This little squabble is an example of two men with big egos, one a storied player in the Clemson program and the other its National Championship winning coach, who both need to check their egos at the door a little. I am the father of an athlete. I get it from Terry's perspective. He wants to put hands on Dabo, but he knows he can't fight in that way. So, he is going off on Social Media. However, he knows, or should know, that a College Football fanbase is a cult in a way. They are going to cover their National Championship coach. He is not going to win that battle. On the Dabo side, come on man. What are you berating a walk-on football player, who has finally come to the realization that he does not belong on the P5 level, for? I get it from Dabo's perspective too. Where does a walk-on get off announcing his transfer plans and stays around for Bowl practice. However, Dabo is the adult here. If you didn't want the kid on the team anymore. Just say so and wish the kid good luck. Don't let him come to practice and engage in Passive-Aggressive behavior. That is what kids do. Of course, nothing will happen to Dabo, but these are the character flaws that usually result in a fall around the corner. You saw some cracks this year. This Clemson team didn't look like the Clemson teams of 4-5 years ago. They very easily could have lost to us if we had any Offensive Line whatsoever. Their offense is terrible and they have no playmakers. Dabo may be convinced in his beliefs. However, being convinced in your beliefs is one thing and being stubborn and resistant to change is another. When society shifts you have to learn where you fit in that. Otherwise, it ends like a Bobby Knight in Indiana or even like a Frank Martin here.
