Forgive my short memory. Has this ever happened before? And if so how did those turn out.

There is a special place in hell for those that do this.
I still can't understand why fans get fired up over this. The only people who care about the rivals are the fans. Coaches go for the job, players go for the potential for money/moving to next level. Lemonis would leave for ole miss and a 500,000.00 raise in a heartbeat.....and he should.

I'm not as pissed off at Cohen for botching the Schloss hire now.

We have had at least 1. Dudy Noble.
Bob Tyler was an asst at Univ of Northern MS before he was HC here (same as Lebby). Then, Tyler's son Breck (a WR) left the team here and went to Univ of Northern MS. I'm thinking there are others but that's all I got off the top of my head

true and he should expect to have a moniker for the rest of his life that outlives him and his next of kin

See, now that makes me think that we’ve been going about NIL all wrong. We’re spending all this time talking about paying our own players when what we should’ve been doing is sending $500k to Ole Miss baseball
