to parapharse Pat Kirwan on NFL radio, 'go watch the Tennessee tape, go watch the Georgia tape (he adds in the stats) that guy has a work to do'.
I don’t understand this at all. Not to resuscitate the dead horse but Levis couldn’t beat out Clifford, who wasn’t even invited to the combine. I wish Levis every success but I’m not feeling it.

Agree 100%. All season long, I kept saying that I can't understand all the hype. Still can't. So he's a big guy with a strong arm ... that doesn't mean he's a good QB. I think if anybody takes a chance on him in the first couple rounds, they're going to regret it.

measureables for the pors, plus we never committed to him as we did Clifford.

Good luck to Will, hope it works out but woe to the GM who drafts him in the first round and he flops. He may need to sit for a few years behind a veteran QB. He is not ready for prime time yet.
Part of it is that it’s a weak year for QBs. If he’s available for Washington at 16, I expect Washington to take him.

Who do we look at for proper evaluation?

Additionally, do you think Levis improved in year 2 at UK?

Personal evaluation, he was a better prospect after last year than this year.
We can prob look at the guy who coached up hurts the past 12 months

I’d also be interested in Howies eval, tho I doubt he’d be honest weeks before the draft

So that's it? Those 2 and Cowherd?
No, it’s not just Cowherd. Levis was pretty much a consensus top-ten pick in the early mock drafts, my recollection. He’s slipped since then but I am sure he won’t be available at 16, Washington.

I’m trying to think of a good match for Levis in previous drafts, got nothing. I guess I’m not imaginative enough. But going by what precedent I think I do understand, Levis has a long way to go.

One thing we may tend to forget is that these young men striving for their NFL dreams are, by and large, admirable people with tremendous drive, well worthy of respect. Let’s never forget that, not that I’m seeing this in this thread.

Here's what NFL folks are saying per Walter Football:

"Levis has the skill set of a NFL starter, but he needs to improve drastically. He could still go high in the 2023 NFL Draft, but team sources also see the potential for him to slide. Here are some comments from team sources on Levis.

"He has no feel," said an AFC director of player personnel. "He doesn't feel the rush, holds onto the ball too long, gets his a** knocked off, and takes some bad sacks. He has poor decision-making and tries to strong arm the ball into traffic. I hate to say it, but he reminded me of Jeff Driskel."

"The second round is as far as he'll slide," said an NFC director of college scouting. "He plays a premium position and he is one of the very that has prototype traits."

"He has Jake Locker vibes to me," said an NFC national scout.

"I don't like him. Day 2 for sure," said an AFC director of college scouting.

"He will go higher because of the size, arm, and high-level character, but it doesn't add up," said an AFC director of pro personnel. "Where's the production? He had a new coordinator, a bad offensive line, and was hurt - left shoulder, left foot, and left fingers -, but something doesn't look right. He struggles with anxiety, and maybe that's it, but he's not the most accurate, throws head-scratching interceptions and gets sacked way too easily. The Tennessee game he was terrible (vomit emoji)."

Strictly talking about lakav's places he'd look for proper evals.

I was listening to ESPN radio this morning and the talk was about the Bears trading down. Mel Kiper went on record to say this is a terrible draft while admitting that's something he never says. He said it's hard for him to pick 85 players to get excited about. Last year's draft only one QB was picked in the first round and that was in the mid 20's, yet Mel thinks this overall draft is worse than that one. Personally, I don't think any of the top 4 QB's in this draft start more than 3 seasons in the NFL. I guess we'll find out.
