What he has done is great for the program for this year. Don’t believe you can turn over the roster ever year and be competitive. We will see if he can develop players going forward

I don't see him staying in Colorado long enough to develop.

Only took 3 weeks for his team to follow in his footsteps and become arrogant and self-serving individuals with their pre-game display.
Recruits take note!

Holy cow, this is a slaughter (pun intended). CU has 34 yards midway through the 3rd.

The only time I ever cheered on Deon was some 35 years ago when he returned a punt for a TD to beat Clemson at Clemson when the Tigers were ranked in the Top 5.

I wish the polls were more objective. CU was clearly not a top 15ish team, but hype got factored into the polls.

Wins and Losses are not the name of the game in Boulder.
For Colorado and those around Prime, they are playing the MONEY game!

Is Oregon that good, or is Colorado overhyped?
Colorado is clearly overhyped. They beat a bad Nebraska team. Barely beat a bad CSU team. Made a ton of noise upsetting a TCU team that everyone thought was the same team that made it to the title game last season. We still don’t really know how good the Horned Frogs are.

Oregon looked pretty good too. Probably a combination. But no doubt Colorado was overhyped. But mostly because it was a fun story that people got carried away with.

Yep.

They did the same thing with the Colorado State late hit. Black Lives Matter came after that kid.
You are tripping with that. Colorado lost a game they were expected to lose. A lot of teams go up to Autzen and lay an egg. It happens. Deion's teams have some skill guys, but they are woefully weak on the lines and will struggle with every physical team they play this year. People are going on about how the transfers were performing. However, a lot of these transfers are from schools like Kent State, Jackson State, and USF. No one with any sense really believed Colorado would make any real noise with that group of players. They have a few Blue Chippers of course. Travis Hunter, Shadur, Dylan Edwards (the little RB that was committed to Notre Dame), and Cormani McLain (the #1 rated CB from '23 that has barely played). Any sensible supporter of Deion, and I include myself in that group, should be happy with a 6-6 season and an appearance in something like the Las Vegas Bowl. That would be a 5 game improvement over last year coupled with a lot of good press. It would be a good start. Of course, I wished Deion would have been more modest about his surprisingly good start, but everyone knows that is not Deion. He is going to crow when he wins and he is going to have to eat it when he loses. He pretty much did that on Saturday night. Hopefully, they respond with a better showing against USC, but I expect a loss there as well. Their possible wins going forward are Arizona State, Stanford, and Arizona. He is going to have get some dudes on the OL and DL before you can really take them seriously as contenders though.

With the Henry Blackburn thing, Deion promptly shut down going after that kid. You are going to have some crazies on both sides of the spectrum (See some of the tweets sent to Alexander Mattison just for happening to fumble against the Eagles). The rest of us that have some sense can't get swept into the everything is racial drama.

But espn, the nfl, soccer does. Seems that one group gets caught up in it.
And for the Alexander Mattison thing. It happened more like this.

I have been watching ESPN. You are hyping it up way more than it is. Nobody has talked about the Blackburn kid in days and Deion unequivocally shut that down himself. Like I said, if you want to get caught up in the extremes of everything, then of course, you are going to hear the worst of everything. However, the truth is that Deion and their players have not gone after one player or coach, with the exception of Shilo (and I think he was just playing when he said he wanted to whip Blackburn). What I see is players and coaches going after Deion because they are envious of all the attention that he and his team are getting. It was Colorado State's coach going on about the Hat and Sunglasses. It was Oregon's coach going on about what has Colorado won and they are playing clicks. Deion hasn't attacked any of these coaches, but it's all good. It's making clear that these coaches are shaken up about what Deion can do when he actually gets a couple years to recruit.

What do you have to say about the media, espn, nfl, nba soccer promoting racism? Not just the Blackburn kid.
