Can we just stop with the locker room video?? As a society we clearly cannot handle it. Hard to believe the two biggest sports stories going on is TSwift showing up to a Chiefs game and locker room smack talk between CU/OR. Sad but true.

That has nothing to do about the subject of Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. I just don't bring up race issues just to be bringing that up. So I have no opinion if that is what you are looking for.
Agree. You will find whatever you look for...especially on the cesspool that is social media. Clay Travis is a buffoon. He's hoping it turns racial so he can get clicks out of it.

That almost all of what my post was about that you initially replied to.

Colorado Buffalos is nothing but a money game for Sanders and those around him - football games and the publicity surrounding them are just the vehicle.

Isn't it a money game for most coaches?? I'm not sure why people are putting him up on a pedestal just to knock him off it. Not many CFB coaches out there that are willfully making less money than they could be making.

Dabo has his name and "Bring your own guts" trademarked.

See, wtf is this?? Black America's team?? Is there a white America's team?? An asian America's team?? Are there more black players on CU's team than anybody else?? Is Prime the only black coach in America?? Stuff like this pisses me off. And if I were black, I would imagine it would piss me off even more.

This is being a little too sensitive. There is no Asian American team because very few Asians play football. Further, if you ask a lot of people that are non-white, all of these other teams, including Colorado, are White America's team. ....and I don't get all hot and bothered by that. It is what it is. They may have Black people on them, but they are programs for the most part run by White people and supported by White people.

I think what the media is responding too are the large TV numbers that Colorado is drawing as opposed to other college games. Their last game had a rating of over 5 (10 million viewers). That is approaching NFL numbers. Colorado games have been 1 or 2 in TV ratings every week this season and reports are that the Colorado program has generated 90 million dollars in revenue over four weeks. There has to be some explanation of that and I think a heightened interest in Deion, by the Black community and detractors that want to see him fail, are a big part of that. It's anecdotal, but my 83 year old mother called me this week about how Deion got beat down and she has never watched football before. Deion's journey into coaching has the potential to break down some barriers that the run of the mill Black coach can't break down. First, Deion was a star player. Most Black coaches weren't. The notion that has been regularly conveyed is that star players don't make good coaches. I think the reason for that belief doesn't make much sense, but that has been the logic out there and I think it has served to discourage a lot of successful Black players from giving it a try. If Deion is successful, that is going to be a loud rebuke of that type of thinking. Of course, Deion may be an outlier and the truth may be that most star players are not be patient enough to coach. Alternatively, Deion would serve as a role model and example of what some of these players can achieve when they put the cleats up. You can see the hope in Deion in some of the ex-players. In guys like Warren Sapp, Michael Irvin. These guys are taking flak from their Alma Mater because they are out in Boulder, Colorado supporting Deion instead of supporting the University of Miami. So, don't take it so hard. It's nothing against other programs or other races. It's just supporting a Black man trying to do something good and tear down a barrier where most didn't have the nerve to try before.

Spin it how you want, I didn't even read that. They want to make a race thing out of it. Espn is a big reason for that. If you can't see it, well...

Who is they. You can come up with one guy that happens to be white and that makes it so? Skip Bayless is not stupid though. Most media outlets are not stupid. Why do you think Fox will be in Boulder Colorado for the 5th week in a row for Big Noon Saturday and making USC and Colorado play at 10:00am local time. Reason: To get a big East Coast ratings number. Further, even if Black people make Colorado America's Black Team, is that some sort of bad thing? So, you would rather Black people not support each other and kill each other in the streets like Chicago? Make up your darn mind. No, there is nothing wrong with Black people supporting each other in trying to do something positive and no amount of multi-culturalism you can spew can change my mind on that. For the record, there is a segment of Black America not supporting Deion if that will make you feel better. A sizeable number of Black people were upset that he left Jackson State. They believed Deion's hype that he could build an HBCU program into something competitive with other D1 programs and felt he bailed. However, like I am telling you to grow up and stop being so sensitive, I have told Black people to grow up as well. My community in a lot of respects buy what they want and begs for what they need. If they wanted Deion to stay, they could have come up with the 30 million to make him think about it. No, they want the man to stay there working for $300,000.00 a year just because he is Black. Now, I support Black people and Black institutions, but I am not stupid. You go when someone is offering you fifteen times more to do the same job. So, there is enough stupidity to go around in this Deion thing and hopefully the sensible just let it pass over their heads and enjoy good football on Saturday.

My criticism was not that "white America" or "Asian America" doesn't have a team. It's the concept that "hey black America, you can have this one little football team in Boulder CO". It's stupid. I can't stand identity politics. I can't stand the labels. I mean, are we to assume the other 130 programs in the country belong to "white America"? Stuff like this just continues to drive racial divides. The absolute last thing this country needs is another rich, white, liberal man opining on what "black America" should have.

I'm a huge Deion fan, and love what he's doing. I hope he crushes it and goes back home to FSU to own Clemson!!

Still think you are taking it way too seriously. If you support Deion, glad to have you aboard. No one is saying it is some Black thing that only Blacks can be a part of. Otherwise, why would Deion be in Boulder, Colorado where the population is 1% Black. However, like I said, Black people supporting another Black person in an endeavor does not mean they are anti-someone else. It's no different than a Black person saying that a White person is against them just because they are a Donald Trump supporter. It's the exact same dynamic and I reject that.

going back to this tweet it's always going to be the black coach is in need of help when a white coach claps back with his own medicine.
as Bill Belichick says, "On to USC". The only people still harping on the Oregon game is Deion detractors and that loss still didn't stop anything. Boulder will be the center of the College Football universe again this week. It will take Deion totally falling on his face to stop that. If Colorado finishes 6-6 or even 7-5, you will be hearing about them all season.

So, why don't they do that for Dino Babers in Syracuse? Marcus Freeman at Notre Dame? Tony Elliott at Virginia? Heck, Mel Tucker just got fired at Michigan State and most Black people and the media could care less becuase he was stupid. You just don't get it. It is about Deion's stardom as a football player just as much as anything about race. It's like Michael Jordan woke up one day and said "I want to coach the Gamecocks". You know people would go bezerk. However, you would probably blame wokeness on Michael Jordan too.
