Looked more like a team that won its Super Bowl tonight.Team of destiny.
Actually the Superbowl is in a few weeks my friend. February 9th.Looked more like a team that won its Super Bowl tonight.
That’s my point!Actually the Superbowl is in a few weeks my friend.
At this point, is this a trend with Luvu??
I get too antsy to participate. Ruins my sleep. I’m fresh as a daisy now.LJ is MIA in this thread. Is he being held hostage someplace?
33. Not quite half my age.Redskins on their way to the NFC Championship game in 30 years! Nice!
Do me a favor then, don’t participate in the Ravens Bills thread and I’ll have a good outcome!I get too antsy to participate. Ruins my sleep. I’m fresh as a daisy now.
And my point is that Washington has a lot of football ahead of them. That’s my point!
Not the name, the insignia. You know, what was on the sides of the helmets.I thought I read about a big push (w/ significant backing) to bring back the Redskins name.
Not to mention playing against a defense which had a first time starter in the secondary and a three time starter on the D-line. During the game I think one of the announcers talked about the lions having 10 starters out of this game. This explained the wide open receivers, running lanes the size of the Lincoln tunnel and basically zero pressure on their QB. When they did get to Daniels they made sure to put down an air mattress and gently knock him down. Regardless of what you think about Steve Young he is right, under these conditions a QB could play well into his 40’s.Looked more like a team that won its Super Bowl tonight.
I give Washington a ton of credit. That was a defining win for a young team. Not to mention playing against a defense which had a first time starter in the secondary and a three time starter on the D-line. they were the worst DEF in the NFL from week 14 to end of season. from week 13 and before they were #2. this was predictable. several other teams would have beaten them last night. The Detroit defense is decimated with injuries. Something like 10 starters are out.
A turnover margin of 5 makes it extremely difficult to win in any situation, especially nfl. Smu did it in OT vs Duke this season, but that was a big outlier.I give Washington a ton of credit. That was a defining win for a young team.
But, Detroit turned it over FIVE times. As @Grant Green knows, that’s a classic recipe for getting upset at home in the playoffs.
Washington gave up 521 yards to Detroit. Hardly, a consistent way to win. The difference was the turnovers. Detroit gave up 14 easy points via turnovers. Goff also threw two ints in the Washington end zone or close to it. That’s a minimum 20 point swing and up to 28.
It was a very good win. They’ll feel good going into next week. Who wouldn’t? But the odds are against their next opponent flailing in the clutch like Detroit did.
Tell her ours is still up and will be until at least Feb. 2nd, Candlemas, the Feast of the Presentation, and the official end of the Christmas Season.Time for my version of the @fairgambit tree story…

We get the family tree the morning of 12/1
7 wins straight since then
The tree is still up, and Mrs ErialLion is ready to consult divorce attorneys if we don’t take it down tomorrow.
Some tough choices on the horizon
