My exact thought. Who gives a **** how talented a child is at a sport? They're a child and even if they're grown now parents are protective. There was no reason to bring up other people's kids. Great way to get yourself in deep &hi+ talking about other people's kids.
Surely someone was worse though! After all State only got 6 hits and 2 were solo HRs which State batters have mastered that "low pressure" feat. I would think 0-2 with 2 Ks was middle of the road for tonight's lineup. No reason to downplay such a lackluster performance with this bunch!
