They arent though. Sure if you look at the number on paper they could be. But teams that carry that big of a cap number have major contributors on rookie deals.Cowboys are fine with the cap. Plenty of other QBs making 55 and Purdy will pass Dak next year. There’s plenty of room. This is a terrible roster. Going to need to trade Micah for a haul of picks.
no excuse for what he’s put on the field.
Besides Ravens game Dak has been bad but with no running game or a #2 WR he’s bound for failure. Wish he would have walked
Dallas went all in for a 4-5 period stretch when they werent paying dak.. and they were paying the roster around Dak to be good... and they were good, very good, they just choked in the playofffs. Now they are in a period of flux because they have been forced to pay Dak and Lamb so much... and they havent had those high draft picks to be able to get quality talent on lesser deals. So in turn, the roster is lesser than it has been... meaning the highest paid player in the league needs to be great to over come that... and thus we have what we have.
Dallas honestly should have dealt Dak a few others last season... got some draft picks... and tried to build again. Their cap situation, espeically after the pay parsons, is going to hold them down another 3-4 years
