Scattered thunderstorms here in north MS. I’d almost forgotten what it was like to have a dark rainy afternoon with thunder & lightning

Storms starting to go severe warned. Main threat still looks to be straight line winds. Storms are also looking to be prolific lightning producers so if they approach your area head inside.

106.5 on the neighborhood weather station just after 4 pm today. NWS said we could be north of 108 the next two days.

I hit 102 here in Gluckstadt. Under the porch, in the shade. Temp finally went below 94 when the storm blew through last night. After the storm the temp settled down to a balmy 82 with 90% humidity. 1/2 inch of rain here.
