Dang, FSU looks like their whole team is quitting on them

FSU is a team built with transfers. I think massive opt outs will be the rule going forward for teams who bring in lots of transfers and don't make the playoff. Portal players have very little attachment to the team they are playing for.

Yeah. I just read where FSU is out 18 starters. That game is going to be UGLY.

That's an interesting concept. I assume players do not have to sign legally binding NIL contracts as yet. If they were contractually bound to a school through a NIL contract, they couldn't jump ship or sit out a bowl game. Of course, this would open Pandora's box even wider. Lawyers would love it but we'd end up with even more chaos over who and how to enforce these contracts
We can't go on the way we are going or any way that resembles the way we are going. I'm sure that going to a contract system would prompt judicial review, but eventually we would have a definitive answer.

As funny as it is, it’s also a shame. A big time bowl game against a 1 loss 2 time defending national champion isn’t good enough for these kids.
They are preparing to make millions. Studying for the largest test of their career (combine). Combine results are way more important than how they do in that game and risking injury. I totally get it but I would advise anyone in any different profession to do the same.

But can you still bet on the game? That's the important thing now. I might take UGA regardless of the line.
I think the line is up to 19 now, I doubt UGA covers. UGA has shown themselves to be very uninterested in games against big underdogs. I think UGA wins but maybe by 10.
