No game matters today but one. Regardless, here's other games to keep an eye on that can affect the bubble picture.

Yesterday I posted 11 outcomes in other games I felt could benefit State’s bubble picture in some tiny way. It’s just for fun and doesn’t move the needle much, but yesterday’s games went 2-9 which still stings a little. Bubble teams made up ground and our Q2 loss slide in the NET rankings. With Akron’s loss to Toledo yesterday, they are now a Q3 win instead of a Q2 win.

State still controls it's own destiny, but let's cheer for some own-goals from the other bubble teams.

Wednesday Watching Guide:

Creighton @ Seton Hall

Seton Hall [CBS Bracketology First Four Out] is a bubble team we need to jump. Cheer for Creighton

Iowa State @ West Virginia
West Virginia is in CBS Bracketology’s Last Four In despite having a NET of 20. Cheer for them to have a brutal run down the stretch in a crowded Big 12.

Memphis @ South Florida
Already on the bubble, Memphis lost to Tulane this weekend. Not likely but would be nice to see this turn into a trend with a loss to a bad USF team.

Boston College @ Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech [CBS Bracketology First Four Out] is a bubble team we need to jump. Cheer for Boston College

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State [CBS Bracketology Last Four In] is a bubble team we need to jump. Cheer for Texas Tech

Florida @ Alabama
Florida [Lunardi First Four Out] is very vulnerable. No worrying about keeping that loss in a particular Quad range. We need to get our SEC record over theirs.

Oklahoma @ Baylor
Despite throttling Alabama by 20+ two weeks ago, Oklahoma hasn’t won another game since January 14th. That win about all that’s keeping them in consideration. We need the door to slam behind them.

LSU @ Mississippi State
Mississippi State [CBS Bracketology Next Four Out] needs to win all remaining games against inferior SEC teams to stay in the discussion. A Mississippi State win here would really help Mississippi State’s bubble picture. Mississippi State fans should root for Mississippi State

San Diego State @ Utah State
San Diego State [CBS Bracketology 6-seed] is a MWC team solidly in the field against Utah State [CBS Bracketology Next Four Out], a MWC fighting to get into the field. We need San Diego State to make that harder for them.

They have the WRONG fanbase if they think that will happen . . .

The losses to Georgia and Florida are killers. Georgia is in free fall now and that loss will soon be a Q3. And losing at home to another bubble team puts us behind the 8-ball. Can’t afford anymore home losses, and that includes Kentucky.

I agree. The Georgia/Ole Miss outcome from last night was by far the most harmful. It'd be nice to face one of them in the SEC tournament and show a 1-1 record against them to the committee instead of 0-1

You do realize we will be Ole Miss’s super bowl in Oxford? I fully expect them to beat us, eliminating us from any chance for a bid.
