Gotta love long range GFS. It tells you everything that is never gonna happen for this area. Being a meteorolgy major, I love some of the guys that come in the climate lab having seen the latest long range GFS run for 12 days out and come in shouting that its gonna snow 2 weeks from now.

Yeah the GFS has its problems w/feedback and some southern branch energy problems but its fun to look at, and get the hopes up.

Undoubtedly, w/the NAO crashing its gonna be a cold cold Jan

I don't know. Some of the ensemble means have the AO going up, so I don't know if we will be able to get the North Atlantic blocking we would need to get cold air to drain down into the U.S. But if they can line up, or we can get one of the 2 in the negative direction, then we could definitely see some colder temps.
