Man it's not looking good for our dear reformed pigskin pastor.

What will become of Auburn? Not looking good compared to what's going on up in T-town.

I actually think both situations are a tad overblown. Box scores will tell you Auburn probably should be near undefeated. Alabama, to me, isn't Saban's Alabama. Playoff team, yes obviously, but not this dominant force that some are making them out to be. They won at home vs. a similar team, tends to happen. They will probably lose a game or two.

Our friends at the Shutdown Fullcast pointed out Saturday night that Bryan Harsin was fired at 9-12. Currently Hugh is sitting at a record of 8-9, with the next four games up:

at Georgia
at Mizzou
at Kentucky
vs Vanderbilt at home.

Hugh has to win two of those to not have the same record as Harsin at the point where Harsin was fired.

Similar team? Similar as in top 3-5 teams in the country similar?
Like there are similar teams and programs like Georgia floating around.

The days of going undefeated, especially in the SEC, will be a rarity. But you dont have to be undefeated anymore. And if anyone thinks there are more than maybe 1 or 2 other teams that could have survived that game the other night then OK. There are those 3-4 teams and a HUGE gulf.

Assume you're asking me? Yes, Bama, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Ohio State.....all similar. Alabama is not some tank that is rolling through college football like they were under Saban.

There may be a few others that could be in there too, just don't know enough yet.

OH they are still the tank rolling team they were under Saban. There are just 3-4 other teams that are tanks too. In all the "tank rolling" year Saban had. Think only 1 of those teams went undefeated.

Also the days of "win one for the Gipper" are long gone and part of the challenge now is motivating a bunch of nou·veau riche teenagers who are mature enough to be great athletes but not mature enough to be professional athletes. Some coaches will adjust and succeed and some will not.

The smartest AD that has ever AD'd hired Coach Reverend Freeze and was so proud of himself. I hope his next stop is Samford.

Maybe we can get another hospital bed game out of him.

I wonder if Cohen goes to bed at night staring at Malzahns phone number.
No, Cohen goes to bed dreaming of ways to get the fans that showed up on Saturday to get behind the baseball team. To much money on other sports there right now.

The good news for us is that when Freeze gets canned, Cohen has to run a search. That’ll set em back another 5 years.
I had an Auburn fan tell me last week he thinks where State is currently is due to Cohen. He thinks from what he has heard is Auburn is about to go down the same path. He told me I should have listen when I thanked him for hiring Cohen.

Norm McDonald's dead and Kevin Nealon has been off the show for about 30 years.

ETA: Dennis Miller would take bronze in this event.
Chevy Chase may be an a-hole, but he invented this genre and should still get a top 3 nod. Probably ahead of Miller, who had some great one-liners but I always found annoying. Norm is definitely 1 though.

Also, Tina Fey and Amy Pohler were funny. I haven't seen these new guys, however.

Best comment of the year!

Maybe he can open a franchise on the Plains? I think they've already changed their motto to, "We build churches where are already plenty of churches."

In retrospect, I'd probably give the nod to Chevy. His run on SNL was slightly before my time but I’ve probably seen most if not all of the early seasons.

Jerk or not, he is my favorite of the original crew and his films still to this hold up as comedic genius.
