It's just people talking out their azzholes. Great school and a beautiful part of the country - Blacksburg is a tremendous place to live. You just have to consider the source.I don't understand something... What's the knock on voc-tech? My nephew attends voc-tech. I know of MANY people who graduated from voc-tech and earned a quality education along with a very successful living.

If you ever get a chance at a night game in Lane Stadium - well worth the trip. Quite the experience.Yeah I'm still disappointed PSU didn't get to make its visit to Blacksburg, I was planning to attend.
The town is a bit red necky and the campus has a military/ROTC vibe (they shoot a cannon on the main field in the center of campus) at times. Turned my Chapel Hill kids off when touring. Been there many times and like being there for games. Vo-tech comes from the old days when they were known as VPI. Agreed, the school has improved and the country side is very pretty. RIP AD Jim Weaver who worked for Joe did a lot for the university's facility upgrades and overall approach to athletics, not just football. It's just people talking out their azzholes. Yurcich is jealous.....'Cuse 25 for O yds. Ouch.
In the end, it’s one game: there will likely be only one team at the end that loses fewer. Drew will learn from this. It’s ok.

Absolutely.
It's almost entirely out of ignorance. VT is a very good school that has become very challenging to get into. It isn't the academic equal of UVA, but few schools are. Something many people don't realize is that VT was founded as Virginia A&M with a purpose similar to that of TAMU and Norwich University - to produce military officers through the Corps of Cadets/ROTC program. Compared to TAMU and Norwich, VT has moved the furthest from being a military school. The campus and many school traditions reflect the A&M heritage, but there are also a lot of "big state school in the middle of nowhere" traits that Penn State alumni would would find familiar.I don't understand something... My bf’s son went to va tech, he’s a young attorney in Texas. The had shotguns and rifles in their frat house def a diff vibe down there lol I was sad the tech game got canceled cause of the aids 19. Woulda been an epic weekend sleeping on that frat couchIt's just people talking out their azzholes. Great school and a beautiful part of the country - Blacksburg is a tremendous place to live. In a former life I dated a girl who went to VA Tech, so I spent quite a bit of time there. It's almost entirely out of ignorance. VT is a very good school that has become very challenging to get into.
