Do you think there will be a high demand to attend a first-round home CFP playoff game in Beaver Stadium? Here is why I ask:

It certainly won't be a "half empty" student section...any student that wants a ticket will have to pay up for it, so if anything, the student seats that they sell should be pretty packed (though doubt it would be all 21k).

I'd guess that the stadium will be packed...but it won't be an extremely difficult ticket to get, and hopefully the resale market ends up reasonable for those that want to get in.

I paid $330 for my 2 seats in NL. I'm hoping for a Saturday afternoon game because I'm working until 0600 on Saturday morning.

That's what I was wondering. If students pay $246 for season tickets how many are going to stay in State College and pay $150 for a single game in cold weather so close to Christmas? I'm sure a lot more will stay if dorms are open and tickets are in the $25-$50 range.

Season parking passes aren't valid for commuters so it's difficult to impossible to plan a tailgate.

I don't think it's going to be the same atmosphere we're used to having. Maybe 90,000 with fewer students and a lot more fans of the visiting team. But what do I know?

1. It is likely to be on Saturday, December 21. Fall semester finals end on Friday the 20th, and like the games straddling T-giving break, the vast majority of students will be on their way or at home for the holiday break. Will it be a half empty student section?

2. The weather could be horrific. Cold, rain or even snow. The grass tailgate lots could be closed if wet/muddy. The roads in/out of town could be a mess.

3. Ticket prices/face value on either sideline range from $206 to $256 a piece. That seems tolerable if we host an SEC squad or Notre Dame. But what if we are #5 (the "Golden Seed") and we host #12 Boise State?

4. It is Fall semester graduation December 20-22 weekend and many hotels are already near capacity that weekend.

Thoughts?

Maybe the game should be held at the Linc in Phila or Acrisure in PGH? Their infrastructure is certainly much better set up for a cold December game.

With Ticketmaster, there is a good possibility.
For my two seats in EE WC, TM is supposed to be charging $516, they billed me double. $1032, on the invoice.
I will get it straighten out before actual billing.

I've been reading that they are expected to be $25. I think the CFP has set the prices the same for all playoff candidates and some schools give students football tickets for free, which could explain why PSU students may end up paying less for a playoff game than a regular game. Reports have also said the students will have the same number of tickets allocated for this game as any other which IIRC is about 21k.
