I don't have the game on tv. Why did the Eagles just score a TD in the last 2 minutes? Could they not have run the clock out with a first down?
3rd and goal play. They could only have run 40 secs off. Turns out the TD was needed!
Those were tough catches. Howell did him no favors. Also, let’s not forget the two sloppy Philly turnovers. Eagles should have had 10-14 more points in this game.
And that interception, Howell had Dotson open for at least 7 yards on first down and the pass missed Dotson by 15 feet. In effect Howell looked off Dotson and threw straight to Blankenship. This is a NFL quarterback? Howell has a great game going and then bang, it’s a head-scratching play out of Peewee football, totally on-brand for Howell. I’m very disappointed but WFT lost to a fine team, a top-3 team. 7-1. Believe.
Biggest play in the game was Rivera not throwing the red flag after Smith's catch. He would have won the challenge and maybe the game.
Announcer: “Riveria is complaining that he didn’t have enough time to throw the red challenge flag.” Then throw it earlier, for God’s sake.
You have a right to be frustrated. Washington played Philly tough in both games. They likely deserved a season split.
I am having a blast this week in DFW ! I wore an Eagles ball cap at Costco in Fort Worth today. Had at least 3 shoppers trying to bust my balls. All good natured….one dude a huge dude about 6 ‘ 4 “ walked up and said “ I gotta give you props for having the stones to wear that hat inside of a packed Costco”. I am having a watch party at my home on Sunday with about 25 attendees …..of which 90% are ardent Cowboy fans. Somebody is going to wind up in my pool…..never a dull moment….lol.
