Some astonishing factoids:I’m not sure if I’ve ever read him before, but Reuben Frank can really write. It’s as good a summary as I’ve ever read.
I watched two really bad football games yesterday. (Browns-Ravens was the other.) As someone in the gym this morning asked, “This was professional football?” Dreadful. Some astonishing factoids:
- Eagles rushed for over 200 yards again and scored only 7 points
- Smith and Goedert had only 3 catches for 22 yards on like 4-5 targets all day
- Eagles had no sacks (except on final play) or turnovers against an awful Giants O
The Eagles need to attempt to sell high on Hurts after the season and hope that some team sees potential in him.Hurts was beyond miserable.

This assumes that Howie is still calling the shots. I’m not convinced he will be.I think Howie has Golden children, and he is among them

Wentz may still be Howie’s undoing. Carson has been a lot better in Indy this year. Still not great, but better. It's because he's full of hubris. If Hurts fails, Howie looks like an idiot for everything that happened with Wentz (drafting him, drafting hurts, trading wentz). Same deal why you'll see Reaghor continue on with this team till his rookie deal is done. Same as Aghlor. Reach hard for them, then be too proud to admit your mistake so keep them around. and MAYBE, JUUUUUUUUUUST MAYBE, force your coaches to play them
I think Dillard may not be as bad as some think. I really wish he could play LG and put LD at C when Kelce retires.Wentz may still be Howie’s undoing. Carson has been a lot better in Indy this year. Still not great, but better.
If that improvement continues and Hurts turns out to be the running, inaccurate QB many think he is, it will be hard for Laurie to overlook.
Dillard and Reagor have continued their sharp declines this year. Goedert was just given a huge extension without the on field play to justify it.
Howie continues to do this franchise severe harm with draft picks and contract decisions. They’re a couple of years from contending again, IF they nail the next two drafts and offseasons. Is Howie the guy you trust with that?
But he is because they have nowhere to play him! Maybe the vision is to move on from Lane at RT and slot Dillard in there?I think Dillard may not be as bad as some think. I really wish he could play LG and put LD at C when Kelce retires.
no doubt, I would really like to move of from big Nate, but it does not appear Dillard is that versatileBut he is because they have nowhere to play him! Maybe the vision is to move on from Lane at RT and slot Dillard in there?
The problem is that weakens the OL. Lane is better than Dillard. And then you also have to pay Dillard starter money soon.
