Not a big fan of the Birds' call on 3rd & 4.

Elliott in for a 57-yard FG attempt

It's a doink, and bounces off the upright on the wrong side.

Final: 28-23, Birds

Should never have been this close, but a win is a win

Sirianni’s thickheadedness will cost them later in the season. This one should have been in the bag early.
Thank god the Eagles have a big talent advantage most weeks. Because Nick needs it the way he calls games. Oiy!

Now we see how AJ fares for a big game in Dallas next week. A win over the Eagles is all they need to jumpstart their season.

Living in Atlanta, I don't often get to watch the Iggles, but today the Falcons (beat Dallas BTW) were in the early slot, so the local CBS affiliate picked up the late game - Jags/Eagles. I watched the first half and things were looking pretty good for Philly - watching Saquon's acrobatic run was a treat. Eagles up 22-0, figured, hey, they got this. Then two quick scores and it's 22-16. Then 28-16 and I figured they had it, again. Then another quick Jags score and it's 28-23. That INT in the end zone saved the game for the Eagles.

I don't understand the Eagles coach going for 2 every. single. time. They missed three 2 pt conversions, IIRC, which translated into the equivalent of a field goal - would've been 31-16, or a 15 pt lead, which would have been virtually insurmountable for Jacksonville at that point. Just ridiculous coaching IMHO.

Was that Brenton Strange playing for the Jags? And Parker Washington?

Fortunately, the Falcons are doing well this year. Wouldn't mind seeing the Falcons and Eagles meeting in the playoffs.

Between the coaching yesterday and the coaching today, well, I’m pretty speechless.

I dogsit for a 95 year old lady down the street. I’m gonna ask her if she knows anything about football. If she says no, I’ll ask her if she wants to move to rural State College or big city Philadelphia!

Both the 2 pt tries were from the 1 yd line. I’d try for a 2 from there all day long

Nick left 8 or 9 points on the field today

I hope his bosses have a chat with him because that was pathetic
Thank god for the defense being improved and Hurts taking better care of the ball. The two conversion attempts were practically like turnovers, though.

He is a moron!
He’s a smart man, but his big weakness is over confidence. You play conservatively as a big home field favorite. Doing that would have given them a pretty easy win yesterday. Oh well…there are no style points in the nfl.
