27-13 doesn’t come close to representing that game.

Eagles outgained the Steelers 400 to 165. They won time of possession 40 minutes to 20.

The Steelers have a helluva physical defense that kept the score reasonable. They came at it all night.

But that offense needs a lot of work. Pickens would not have made up the difference on his own.

I hope the injuries on both teams aren’t serious. I hated seeing Watt go down.

Good game. Thought we had no chance without Pickens. Shut down saquan. Now I can root for him again. Think we cost him the record.
hopefully watt not hurt. We just clinched playoff spot, need to win next week then sit all starters last two weeks.

To be fair, this is Steelers football. This is how they win. Turnovers, sacks, taking advantage of other teams mistakes. They aren’t going to win shootouts. And they were a fumble away from tying it up. They didn’t capitalize on the Eagles mistakes today (and there were many) and they made too many mistakes of their own. Pickens is their only deep threat guy and he is fantastic at the deep 50/50 ball. His presence loosens up the defense for the run game and some more underneath stuff. It wasn’t their night. On to Baltimore. Congrats.

This was a strange game. The Eagles were completely in control of the game in the first quarter despite turning the ball over twice, thanks to a dominant defense. Then it seemed as though the Eagles suddenly could no longer stop the Steelers, and at halftime it felt like the Birds wasted a half in which they initially looked to be significantly better team on the day.

After the second half started, the Steelers looked like they were picking up where they left off on offense—that was until an unforced turnover completely changed the game. And wow did the Eagles take advantage of that: the Eagles ran 47 plays on offense and only allowed the Steelers to run 11 plays in the entire second half! That’s incredible. Complete domination of time of possession by the Eagles despite Saquon finding it difficult to break loose.

Throw in various penalties at in opportune times along with concerning injuries and this was a strange game indeed by the end of it.

Let me guess.....Penn State lost to Ohio State snd Oregon be abuse of the officiating?
Oregon, maybe. Tosu, no. Both were poorly officiated games with bad calls rhat appeared to skew in one direction. The Steelers were not going to win today, mostly because of how depleted their roster is currently. Doesn’t change that the refs were equally as bad as those in the earlier State games.

So 75 holding calls all against one team is poor officiating for the team that got called for the holding….got it. And the worst call of the day was the unnecessary roughness against Wilson (also against the Eagles), but yeah, the Steelers got screwed. Steelers fans complaining about officiating is funny…it would be like OSU fans complaining about Big 10 officiating.

I read that the 238 yard difference is the most for the Steelers in 26 years. Tomlin has never been close to that since he’s been coach.

I get your drift but today was no recipe for a win. Maybe Pickens helps some. A big pass TD here or there and who knows?

Or Penn State fans complaining about the officiating. See where I'm going here?

Or Duke basketball fans complaining about officiating. See it only works if the team complaining gets more calls in their favor than every other team (and that certainly isn’t Penn State and hasn’t been for many years).

I could go out to any other Big Ten campus and hear the same argument about Penn State. Catch my drift fella?

But can those people show you the numerous wrong calls that went for Penn State and were upheld by replay? Follow what I’m saying fella?

I can do more than try…I’ll gladly match videos with them. All I have to do is pull out the 2014 OSU game and that will beat what they have, and that’s just one game.

I'm sure they have some video too. You really don't get the point here do you? There's a reason why certain people are labeled as "conspiracy theorists".

blah, blah, blah

Some of you need to be reminded of my old rule. Make your argument. If somebody opposes, and you think inaccurately, reply. If they reply and you're not getting any closer, Just Let It Go. At most, 3 posts on the subject and Move On

It's uNpOsSiBLe that the refs would have favored a team in this game since both teams have PSU players on them. o_O

And if you don’t think refs have personal biases then I don’t know what to say. And that’s not a conspiracy theory, that’s just real life.

Oh, so only refs have personal biases. I see. ;)
