WFT's super spreaders!Sirianni positive for covid.
They could use their first five draft picks on defense and still have spots that need something more. That assumes they don’t lose guys like Cox and Hargreaves.I think Hurts has shown enough, that you continue to stick with him. Not sure of the upside in the passing game. But he has intangibles for a position that is often lacking in players with better arm talent. QB is lower on the list of priorities for upgrade on this team.
Doesnt make sense to acquire Watson or Wilson, either. I agree trade back on one of the 1st's and acquire more capital next year. Alternative is to package and move up in the top 10, which would have to be an elite pass rusher. They won't slide to late teens pick. They could use their first five draft picks on defense and still have spots that need something more. That assumes they don’t lose guys like Cox and Hargreaves.
Barring them getting a veteran like Watson or Wilson, I hope Howie plays to his strengths as a deal maker. Turn a 2022 first rounder into a 2022 second/third and a 2023 first rounder.
That lets them hedge a bit longer on Hurts or whomever. And it doesn’t force them to reach for a QB this year.
Barnwell just threw out Kirk Cousins to Philly for their worst first rounder along with a Minny third rounder.Doesnt make sense to acquire Watson or Wilson, either. No thanks on Cousins for me. I'd rather have a true franchise QB or a QB on a rookie contract (think Wilson and Mahomes) where you can build a team around him (including a really good defense and OL). If Hurts isn't that guy, draft another in the next year or two or consider trading for Rus.Barnwell just threw out Kirk Cousins to Philly for their worst first rounder along with a Minny third rounder.
That’s rampant speculation, but I hadn’t seen it discussed. They could do worse than Cousins, but Hurts’ ceiling may be about the same for a lot less money.
I agree. Minny had proven that Cousins isn’t a “put the team on his back” QB and he’s had a super talented cast around him. It’s much better than what he’d have in Philly. No thanks on Cousins for me. Did not see this coming. Congratulations to JH.Jalen Hurts named to the Pro Bowl. Makes it as an alternate for the NFC. Not bad at all for a young ( 1.5) year starter. As far as I am concerned we could do a lot worse than this young QB. I think that he has big upside potential and more than worth keeping around to see what we have in this guy.
With all due respect that would be a ******* horrible trade for the eagles.Barnwell just threw out Kirk Cousins to Philly for their worst first rounder along with a Minny third rounder.

No kidding. .With all due respect that would be a ******* horrible trade for the eagles.
Agree. I see no point in trading for Cousins and even more so if it costs a first round pick. Cousin's can't win with the skill positions in Minnesota. Ride it out with Hurts and Minshew for a few years. With all due respect that would be a ******* horrible trade for the eagles.
Barnwell is usually pretty level headed. I think he’s stretching here. When factoring in the money Cousins would cost, it’s a non-starter for Philly. If they’re going that salary level, then they should go hard after other veteran options. With all due respect that would be a ******* horrible trade for the eagles.
