ESPN has a larger voice than the committee of who’s in the CFP…

They paid for the rights (1.3 Billion) and need a ROI so don’t let the committee BS fool you. There’s a reason ESPN isn’t talking up Carolina, they want the LOGO to help pay the bills. If we don’t get in blame ESPN not the committee.

Logo, matchups, intriguing stories. Ots not always about the best 12.

Our resume doesn't get us in, we need to lean on intangibles, like a good story or watching Sellers run all day.

Does that overcome the Bama name?

Why not a similar storyline to Frank Martin's team running to the Final Four?
It brought excitement and interest as the audience had an exciting underdog to root for and made for a great storyline.
Same could apply here.

Sure, it might. But I'm not sure our resume is lacking, considering we're one of the hottest teams in college football right now while Bama is playing some pretty ugly football at the moment. Saban has left the building.

I'm not convinced ESPN actually has any influence over the playoff selection, but if they do, I'm not convinced they wouldn't want Carolina in there, considering the story we've become and the magic Seller is bringing to the game.

I was making an assumption with the resume.

Bama has the same record, the head to head, and better win (UGA vs clemson) and a higher SOS. (At least listed that way during a game yesterday).

To me, that screams "better resume". But I understand not to everyone, because they have worse losses.

The "hottest team" or momentum falls under intagibles to me. Jmo
