I like it. Mitchell to Pollo to Reed. LRL

Routt to Stratton or Jones. LR

Dogs win in 2. why not, right??

Gives Routt 5 days of rest and keeps Pollorena available to use in relief in Games 1 and/or 2 if needed, or as a starter in Game 3.

in fact I was going to be a little worried if we were going to try and come back with Routt on Friday after he just pitched by far his longest outing of the year this past Sunday. Better to give him the extra day to rest up and not push him.

I kind of figured that Evan would get the ball tommorrow, and then go with Routt for the very reason you said. I always like going with a rested pitcher 100% of the time if at all possible.

The real question is what are we going to do on Sunday if it gets to a third game. Stratton and Pollo haven't pitched real well against UF- Mitchell and Routt have pitched well. Devin Jones doesn't seem like a much better option either.

I think what I would probably do is start Stratton and tell him to get me 9 outs. Then go with Pollorena for 2 innings, follow up with Daryl Norris and Taylor Stark for an inning apiece, and then bring in Reed.

should want starting Sat to try and nail this thing down. If we lose Fri, Routt is who we want trying to save us for another day. It's just the right call either way. I just hope we can put runs on the board. Florida's staff is strongenough asit is but knowing the magnitude of the series, we're gonna get their best at the most crucial times. There's no saving anyone for tomorrow or next week. We've got to match them pitch for pitch and hope for the best.

Did Evan pitch to Florida during the season or in the SECT?

Thanks, can't remember and too tired to look up.

He's had the hot hand as of late so hopefully he will carry it on. It's alot to ask of a true fresh. but hopefully he will give a big time performance. I just hope we play loose and take on the attitude that we're not supposed to be there anyway so let's play with no pressure because that's what it is basically. We're given an opportunity to face a team at their placethat on paper is light years better than us. We've got the opportunity though and that's all you can ask. I'll say this going in. If we can pull this off, this will go down without question as perhaps the single greatest and most unlikelyaccomplishment in our baseball history.

i'm not saying that this is going to happen, but let's say at this time next year, could mitchell be the legitimate number 1 guy that we've been needing? to me it seems like he's done nothing but win games and strike guys out

our greatest accomplishment in baseball. It would be very hard to argue that point. However, if it were to happen, I am gonna be hard pressed to miss out on that trip to Omaha. I will just have to figure out how to get it worked out. But that is a LONG way off at this point.

ratchet up the pressure on them instead of us. Just the way the human mind works.
