All of the sports teams are posting it.
Probably one or a couple of people in Kristina Peterson's shop. Not sure if that tells us anything. If it's a merger of NIL organizations, a likely good thing, then it's overkill. Welcome to the world of PSU self-promotion.

  • The new collective allows Success With Honor to continue to serve all of Penn State’s varsity athletic programs while Lions Legacy Club will handle the day-to-day operations of the football collective within this new structure.
  • Think of this as one collective with multiple silos. Football will have its own space, basketball its own and then the other 29 varsity sports will make up the third silo.
  • Penn State has long preferred to have one collective, but there wasn’t much the athletic department could do about it since they are independent of the school.
  • A new collective means a rebrand with a new logo. While there’s a refreshed look, not much will change behind the scenes as many of the same key figures who were instrumental in the day-to-day operations of Success With Honor and Lions Legacy Club will continue to do so with the new collective.
  • Both collectives hinted at such a merger on social media on Wednesday. Being “united” — as they claim — is a noticeable step forward after all that transpired in March when a Twitter feud created a public relations nightmare for both collectives.

So does this mean that Kraft has finally fixed NIL?
"The board of Happy Valley United will include leaders of industry and great supporters of Penn State University and Penn State Athletics, including Ira Lubert, Anthony Misitano, Bob Poole, Larry Cusack, Mark Toniatti, B.J. Werzyn, and Matt DeSoto."

Bunch of guys (indicated by boldface and underscore) who founded Success With Honor.

Two things:

1. The lion part of the logo sucks. Much like that ‘90s abomination.

2. There’s a serious error in these announcements. The merged collective is actually called HAPPY VALLEY UNTIED.

If everybody will put on their big boy pants and suck it up and get behind this, and stop the petty sniping for god's sake... maybe we've got a shot. I do not like hearing that the IRS is already whining about NIL tax deductibility, though. That will keep me somewhat more on the sidelines until it's clear that digging deeper into my pocket is worthwhile. Great news, though!

maybe suck it up regardless of tax implications, if you really feel that way

Oh I'll buy a membership. I'm just hoping to contribute significantly more than that.
I get it- but why should other taxpayers (me) subsidize contributions made to a semi-pro football programs hiring efforts? It's a contribution, but charity it isn't.

IRS "whining?" Any NIL collective that set up, in whole or part, as a 501(c)(3) might as well have taped a sign to its a$$ that read "kick me!"

Point taken, Nitt. NIL is a convoluted situation to be sure.
Had the NCAA done something like a reasonable stipend for all players, this might have been avoided- or at least delayed. Joe suggested that years ago- and was ignored. Now the NCAA lacks any semblance of control over anything.

Give this man a kewpie doll!! NCAA had multiple opportunities to settle along these lines, but the tag team of Mad Dog Emmert and Slick Remy just wouldn't have it.
