Lots of great moments mentioned in this thread. Another golden Farley moment was the “Gap girls” sketch with Sandler and Spade when they’re ribbing his girl character for eating a lot of French fries, and he grabs one of them by the neck and roars in a demonic voice “LAY OFF ME, I’M STARVING!”
Back to the Blue Oyster Cult sketch, I once saw it being discussed with Will Ferrell on one of the late talk shows (maybe on Fallon?) He said he had run into Christopher Walken years after the sketch and Walken seemed truly pissed at him. Walken told Ferrell “You ruined my life” because he can no longer go anywhere in public, particularly restaurants, without someone saying “more cowbell” to him!

Bro I just watched that 3 times I’m bawling. Begs the question, when SNL actors Lose their schit, is is hilarious or unprofessional. (It’s hilarious) how much you wanna bet the interviewer didn’t see them until she turbed around
Same. I watched it, then showed it to my wife and 16 yr old. We were howling. That’s one of the funnier skits they have done in awhile.
I think Heidi Gardner didn’t know what they would look like which made for excellent live TV. The other winning components here:
1. Gosling going ‘who me?’ when identified to leave.
2. Thompson explaining Beavis and Butthead to Heidi ‘Butthead - he’s Beavis’s friend’!
3. Heidi losing her sh*t when Butthead comes out.
Also, not in the show but available online is Papyrus 2 - the follow up to Gosling’s previous bout with the Avatar font…
