FFS this current offense blows. Need to shake it up somehow.
No matter how we look at it, Penn State has one of the least explosive offenses in the country. When it comes to passes of 16-plus yards and rushes of 12-plus yards Penn State’s explosive play rate of 9.6 percent ranks 117th, per TruMedia. Even if we scale it back a bit and just examine plays of 10-plus yards, just 17.3 percent of Penn State’s plays have gone that far, which is 109th.
It’s also not trying to go deep often either. Quarterback Drew Allar ranks 35th overall per TruMedia in pass attempts, but Allar is 114th when it comes to attempts with 15-plus air yards. He has had just 31 such pass attempts through seven games. Among 150 quarterbacks who have 100 or more dropbacks this season, Allar’s depth of target (7.81 yards) is 140th nationally, per Pro Football Focus.--- Audrey Snyder
As Sean Fitz said on the podcast, not turning the ball over is great, but playing to not turn the ball over every play will not win you games against good teams.FFS this current offense blows. Need to shake it up somehow.

DA is supposed to have a great relationship with Yurcich so dumping the OC might not go over well with Drew.As Sean Fitz said on the podcast, not turning the ball over is great, but playing to not turn the ball over every play will not win you games against good teams.
What if it's not the coaching or the scheme and this is who DA is right now mentally? As a coach with the portal in play, you almost have to try to make the light bulb go off in his head, because if you bench him at this point he may transfer after this season and win a Heisman 2 years from now somewhere else. It's a tricky time to be a coach.
Yup.DA is supposed to have a great relationship with Yurcich so dumping the OC might not go over well with Drew.

More slant routes as well, maybe a screen to rb'sCrossing routes and rub routes aren't cute formations and I saw none of them.
Or wheel routes.More slant routes as well maybe a screen to rb's
Yup.
It might be time to bring MY back down to the sidelines. This would be the game to try it out and see if there's improvement.Yurcich is one of the most prolific OC’s in recent memory. His offenses balled out at Oklahoma State. I get B1G defenses are better but still - he’s way under-producing. It must be that t they don’t trust DA and the long ball because there is enough there to be more productive than we are.
Be advised, I’m contemplating suing you. Your aviator looks suspiciously like a young me with hair.Yurcich is one of the most prolific OC’s in recent memory. Not surprisingly that was my go to move during the dark period of hair loss. And obviously his nose hasn’t been broken several times. Other than that there is (was) a similarity.![]()
This you!?

This would have been perfect for me. Nice head of hair, a snappy leather jacket and a plane. Who could ask for anything more?
