In theory I disagree with Lane Kiffin completely. However, in practice he’s not completely wrong. When I heard about a 12 team playoff I said to myself that’s way too many teams. Yes, Ole Miss lost to Florida, they had key players sit out most notably Tre Harris, and Jaxson Dart was nicked up and basically useless in that game. Ok, let’s talk about the 7-5 Florida team that beat Ole Miss. Toward the end of the season, that Florida team was hitting on all cylinders and in my opinion a legit threat, a team very capable of pulling off an upset. That’s what Kiffen is pontificating and selling to the selection committee.
