Really strong out the gate. Grande, Keaton, and Mulaney are consistently good. Bartgatze
may have had the best episode overall last year. Smart is coming off a well deserved Emmy win and is way overdue for ‘her moment’. Chappell Roan is a nice surprise too.

Robert Klein always annoyed me. Not sure why exactly, but I never found him funny enough to override his annoyingness (is that a word?).

SNL is still on the air? - who knew. Either I got old and they stopped being funny years ago or I just got old or maybe both.

I can’t wait until they restart with the new season. They should have a field day with the debate.

How would you know about it when you’re in bed by 8 p.m.?

This is, perhaps, the most tiring and oft repeated take of the past 40 years.
You're not wrong, but let's admit there is an ebb and flow to the shows entire existence. It gets good, the cast moves on to bigger and better things, it gets bad until new cast members gel...lather, rinse, repeat.

Of course, definitely ups and downs. But we could put together a hundred hilarious sketches from the past 15 years, so to act like its not funny anymore (from people who haven't watched in 20 years) is silliness.

The one issue I have is that it's almost always the pre-shot skits/videos that really hit the mark. Most of the actual "live" stuff, other than Weekend Update is pretty flat. Saturday Night Taped would be a great show.

Nate is so good on that show, glad they brought him back. He must have been going through the roof with that Vandy win on Saturday.
