I will ask. I noticed then tonight for the first time.

Using Brave on iPhone.
It blocks the video (and audio) and just leaves a blank space at the top of the page. Still irritating, though.

I would say it as a bug. No matter how you set your preferences it erases your preferences for video to play and plays the ad every time you visit the page. Eventually, if you are running a Macintosh, it will crash no matter what web browser you were using

I was afraid it was a feature but am glad to hear complaints are coming from multiple sites…

Those videos are intrusive when accessing via mobile devices.
