Long time lurker, first time poster.

Making the last second decision to head to Columbus this weekend.

Question for those who have been or are going to the game as well…Are sections 6C, 8C, 10C all fully PSU section? Looking at some pictures from previous games it looks like 10C could be a mix of visitors and buckeyes. If I’m gonna be in a less than desirable seating view, I want to make sure I’ll be sitting with the blue and white

Also, parking…anybody with experience here? I don’t mind walking a considerable distance if it’s an easier in and out. For lots that are a decent walk, do I need to get there at the crack of dawn or will I still be able to get in one at like 8 am?

I cannot answer your first question as I’ve only ever sat in the players’ family section at Ohio Stadium. As it relates to parking, there aren’t many non-reserved lots such as at PSU. I know some people who have parked in the shopping center lot across the River on Olentangy River Road, but I’m not sure if they still allow parking there on game day. My honest recommendation is to park in downtown Columbus or in one of the retailer parking lots near the medical center (just southwest of campus) and take an Uber to the aforementioned shopping center. From there it’s a quick walk across the river to the stadium.

Don’t know about the parking situation anymore as it has been years since I lived in the C’bus area and gone to the game. In 2016, the last year I lived there, they were on the lookout for cars parking for the game in that shopping center parking lot and ticketing and towing cars that when people were observed walking to the game from their parked cars. When I went to the games, I used my parents parking pass (they were OSU alumni).

Yeah, that’s why I questioned if it’s still allowed. In 2019 we stayed at the Fairfield Inn and z suites just down the road and I recall a pretty strong police presence in that lot as we walked to the game.

There are 2-3 parking decks along High Street which is on the east edge of campus. Easy in and out. About a 15 min walk to stadium.

You might consider this Friday night. Plenty folks to help you with game day questions.

Enjoy the game. Based on my experience, this is a pretty obnoxious fanbase, so sit in a section with a higher percentage of PSU fans if you can.

I have been in the Shoe for both victories and losses and I can definitively say that their fans are Jekyll and Hyde depending on the outcome of the game. If they win, they will be fine. If they lose, they really do become belligerent toward PSU fans.

This will be my 14th trip to the shoe for a pSu-OSu game and have never had a problem. Maybe I have been lucky and yes their fans can be tough at times, but so are drunk penn state fans. There will be 100k there and some will be jerks, but same can be said at any college football stadium on a Fall Saturday
