Y’all wanna fire Satterfield, but our defense is atrocious! Like really bad! Yo Beamer, you’re not gonna last long unless you learn how to fire staff bro.

Isn't it awesome that the board is flooded with arguments about which squad played worse, the offense or the defense?

We had the worst offensive performance against Missouri this season, and that includes 2-6 LaTech and 3-5 Vandy.

Most of us probably agree that they were both bad. I expected us to give up 14-21 points. I expected to score 14-21 also. I thought we would win a tight one.

Yeah, I said all week this would be a tight contest. I was wrong....in the worst way. I foolishly bought into Shane's bluster the past few weeks about this being a bunch of fighters. I thought maybe the team was actually gelling, but a game like this makes you feel like you're back at square one.

Folks this team is very bad, from the coaching staff to the water boy, oh I would be remiss if I didn't give Tanner his due for being the worst AD in the nation.

Defense wasn't good tonight but they only gave up 23 points while being on the field all game and with Rattler giving them one possession in our end zone. If we had any semblance of an offense we would've won and D would've given up less than 20.

Well, I do think we got a false sense of security from our previous two wins. We were the beneficiaries of some very good fortune in those games, which I'm ok with b/c we've had more than our share of bad fortune over the years. But reality caught up us with tonight.

Satt is that you? Don’t deflect- ONE TD on Mizzou!
And Ray Tanner should be on TV breathing fire down this staffs butt. but, he sucks worse. We are in a bad position with this “leadership”.

We get in the top 25, in lord knows how long, and then promptly crap our pants. Beamer, dude…let’s stop dancing in the locker room and start finding a new O and D coordinator.

I'm not ready to fire the staff, but our defense did not show up today. We knew that Missouri defense would be a challenge. Until we win in the trenches, our offensive and defensive are limited in their play calls.

I like our DC but we were simply outcoached and unprepared on both sides of the ball. I thought we played hard on defense most of the time but they out-schemed us.

Forget the offense. Are you kidding?? It's so pathetic it will always be in the hall of shame after last nights non-performance.

Defense made adjustments that worked better in the second half, despite being gassed after the offense seemingly went 3 and out every time they had the ball ion the first half.

From the stands the interception we had that was called off for pass interference did not look like pass interference to me, but those at home probably had a better look.

This Loss is 100% on the offensive coaching and Satterfield not having his unit prepared and ready to know what to do against Missouri's defense.

Take away those two early drives that surrendered 180 yards combined and the defense was actually not great but decent enough. They got robbed of one takeaway on that ridiculous PI call.

The defense can improve but the offense is clearly stuck in the mud, uncreative and stale. Ten points won't win many games in any league. The O is the clear problem for this team.

Hard to prepare your Offense, when you don’t know what you are doing.

Our offense had 37 yards of rushing for the entire game and approximately 200 yards overall with time of possession at 36-23. That would put immense strain on any defense. It wasn't their best effort but improvements in our defense and special teams have been the only reason we are winning any conference games at all under Beamer.

If you think our defense was tired against Mizzu, Tn will flat wear them out with their offensive scheme.

The defense is ranked 51st in the nation out of131 teams. That's respectable. The offense is ranked 99th. If the offense could stay on the field more, the defense would be ranked higher.

In yards per game, I thought I had ESPN putting the offense at 99th. (I thought it was 82 prior to the Missouri game)

But I could have misread, or we could be talking differnet stats.

Yeah, the offense does not give the D ANY help. We had 5 series in the Mizzou game that lasted shorter than 2 minutes. Our LONGEST drive was 4:03. That's just pathetic. For as bad as the D was for a stretch in the first half, they ended up holding Mizzou to right around their average for ppg. If our offense had scored the average that Mizzou was allowing, we could have won. As it is, we scored well below their average and turned in the worst offensive performance against Mizzou this season, and that includes Louisiana Tech, Abilene Christian and Vandy.

This loss is not on the D. They adjusted and only allowed 2 second half FG. The offense made no adjustments at all.

You are right. ESPN has them at 99. I have gone by "NCAA College Football FBS Stats/NCAA,com". I have gone by the latter because they give the number where each team falls (thus, I don't have to count). How they could both be so different, beats me. Regardless, 82nd or 99th....the offense sucks at both 99th and 82nd.

Lurker, you are right. It IS 99th.I just looked again. When I looked on Sunday, they had them at 82nd. The source I use now has them at 99th. My mistake. The offense is worse than I thought, if that's possible.

They must have not just updated the number because I think that's exactly where espn had them prior to Missouri.

Thank you for the other site, because I was getting tired of counting to the 80's and 90's to find our offense.

The D looks to have become a bit of a liability. Mizzou had their way with them in the first half and Vandy ran up and down the field on us all night. Things won't be pretty against UF and UT.
