He had some nice teams in the mid 1980s. Of course, having a pipeline to Camden High School via Clarence Turner did not hurt. $$$$$$$$

He had a pretty good gig at Louisville. And not as much pressure as he would have following a legend.

As a Philly kid I grew up watching those Ville teams (as they are called by fans) coached by Denny Crum. They were always very athletic, incredible leapers and tremendous defensive players who played full court press and man-to-man defense.
It was one of the most entertaining and competitive hoops program in the NCAA during the 1970s and 1980s. The Cardinals nation will miss coach Crum.
