🤮🤮🤮 Every time we go to NMB, we drive by. We never stop. I will not support an out and out partisan. Just my opinion.
My family owned a business for 22 tears. We NEVER mixed business with politics.
There is an Italian Restaurant/ pizzeria whose owner wrote VOTE _____ on every pizza box going out the door, on Election Day 2020. Love their food, won’t ever go there again.
Your post brings up an interesting point, Although most businesses, I think correctly, do try to not mix business with politics there may be times when it is necessary as a good citizen to express your point of view rather than risk your country from sliding too far to the right or too far to the left. Personally, I don't mind someone disagreeing with me --- but I do mind someone who is always so outspoken that they make me feel uncomfortable in their place of business.

probably the least "phony" President in the last 50 years
his weakness was being too honest to play the role.
Apparently you do not know much about President Carter.

Much too be admired but also a phony…read up!

But an absolutely terrible President by almost any measure.

Does not make him a bad person. And certainly deserving of prayers.

A phony? He "walked the walk". That's a lot more than could be said of most politicians.
How so? By waving the white flag on behalf of our country? Siding with dictators and communists over his own country. Read up.

As I said, prayers for him and his family. He did many things that are to be admired.

But does not mean we have to have sentimental feelings overcome reality.

As President Carter restored our faith in Government following Watergate.
He was never the favorite of the Dems power brokers.
He won the nomination because of changes made after the problems in 1968 and 1972.
He and his team looked at the changes and based their run on making the most of the changes.
He is a decent person and deserves our prayers.

I have never had to deal with any family member in hospice and the closest I got was an acquaintance who went through several bouts of colon cancer before he told his wife and family he wanted to finish out his days at home. I cannot even fathom what the family might be going through and what the former President might be thinking about, knowing his days are severely numbered.

Carter’s a religious guy. I’ve seen this help the passing. My dad, on his deathbed, was convinced that he would see my mother, dead 40 years, again. He was really looking forward to it.

A great deal more than you do, obviously.

USS K-1 Submarine Control Room 1952

Lieutenant Jimmy Carter in the Control Room of the K-1 diesel electric submarine. After this posting he worked on the development of nuclear reactors for naval vessels.

Jimmie left the Navy when his father died to help his family manage the farm in Plains Georgia.

Rosalynn was so mad she would not talk to him on the drive to the farm. Evidently she wanted to be the wife of a Naval officer and not a peanut farmer.

He was part of a team that had been sent to clean up the reactor, which had suffered a meltdown following a power surge that caused radioactive water to gather in its basement. Carter and his team were able to restore the reactor—and were exposed to a hefty amount of radiation in the process. As Carter said in 2008, he peed radio active urine for six months following the excursion.
