I'll admit it, I would have bunted. I would have been wrong, but I would have bunted. Glad I was on the couch, and not the coach. Good win, let's find another one.

Did you tell your wife we needed to pull Reed when a LH'ed hitter came up?

You put your best players in to win games- and the guy did that- it just didnt work today

Damn Digger, you gonna pullPapelbonwhen the Yankees Texiera comes up to bat?

We got a game winning homer from our biggest threat for slugging percentage. I make an observation that I hope we sign better hitters than what we have and you act like our stats are comparable to the 17'n Yankees. I'm thrilled to death about the win but people like you want to rag my *** for stating the obvious. We aren't a good hitting club and we aren't in the position we're in because we're a good hitting club. Not sure what your deal is on people making that observation as a whole about our hitting, Vickerson and Parks aside. I guess you'll be happy to petition the NCAA to grant Ogden, Thigpen, and most of all, Collins a 5th year of eligibility since they possess such an offensive prowess and we'd never be able to replace their hot bats in the lineup.

I'd rather be one game away from Omaha (or in Omaha) than to have a team hit 30 points higher and sit at home. I'm sure LSU would trade their team batting average (not sure where they ended up) with us for our spot right now.

WINNING matters. I understand your point...we need better talent. But you have to admit your post was just you being pissy because we were getting dominated by a guy who shouldn't even be in college baseball right now.

You're right and I agree, winning is all that matters and I'd trade a team with 0 homers and in Omaha with a team with 100 homers and at home any day of the week. My point was only that in the future, we up the talent in the hitting dept. That's all. Our pitching has come around majorly year to year since Cohen took over and I'd like to see the hitting do the same because with the arms we have on staff, a little more offense will really make us tough to deal with.

I'll agree with you on that 100%. We're getting there. This postseason run has been proof of that.Cohen's calling card at UK was his team's offense and taking a shitload of HBPs.Let's just enjoy this...even if it only lasts one more day.

Right handed hitters out, and I'm not married to the 1st pitcher staying in the game(which is why he pulled him when he gave up the hit to the lead off hitter) I at least bring in a right hander to face a right handed power hitter.

Bring in the lefties after that.

You said our offense was so bad that it effected the pitching to the point they felt they "had to throw perfect games to get wins". I was just pointing out we scored more runs than you thought. That's all

Could we use some better hitters? Mainly power hitters? Absolutely. but let's not act like we were one of the worst teams in the league when it came to putting runs on the board
