I really hope you're right. This is the most apathetic I've been about Mississippi State sports in general since I became a fan over 30 years ago. Our administration is in the process of killing the athletic department.
You and others keep bringing this up and the disdain for Selmon but bring nothing of substance on why you think he’s not doing a good job. Is he perfect no, but he damn sure has done some good things
This is not Genes Page. It is SPS and if you can't handle hearing State fans air their grievance then don't come on here. Three of the men's sports suck right now and one is just above average. Unfortunately, he is at the top and gets the blame. He failed to change baseball coaches, and he hired the current Football coach. Two wins is never acceptable and the fact he did not force Lebby to make some changes to a defensive coaching staff that lead one of the worse defensive in the country makes him look weak.
Three of the men’s team suck? Basketball has been to ncaa 3 times in a row . That’s far far from sucking. Considering only 68 teams make it. Im sorry to tell you this but baseball and it’s success or failure isn’t going to derail an AD, whom by the way has not extended said baseball coach in his now 26 months here. Cause it’s a non rev sport. It’s like hockey for the Midwest.. Blame the Lemonis contract on JC not Selmon but I digress. Baseball is a non factor.
You keep bringing up this didn’t force him to fire people. You don’t want a coach being micromanaged by an AD, but Lebby did bring in Mac and Rhodes not to mention Dancy. So this year we did upgrade coaching talent, we have up graded player talent as well. Thanks to NIL improvements.
What about what Selmon has done with funding and facilities? IPF about to be announced and renovated Seal building. New LED light at DWS along with some other up grades. Added more upgrades to the HUMP. Let’s talk about how our NIL is now competitive after being non existent under cohen? Resigning Jan’s to a multi year deal?
