Would have 100% taken him back. I thought he showed promise. But it would have to be at the right price and I’m guessing he wants exponentially more than what I’d consider to be the right price.
I hope he doesn’t want more money. He was the 9th man, barely played, and played well in maybe 4 games? He should take a discount. I would’ve taken him back as the 9th man & a cheap 9th man
Question on Fisher. The portal tool says he is leaving in the portal but I thought he was a senior.
He is. For some reason many think the 5 years to play 5 will include them but I doubt it as it won't go into effect, if ever, until Aug 1. Then there will be tons of lawsuits.
Dar can't expect more money from a similar or better team, can he? Maybe same money from a mid major and more playing time. Too bad we couldn't convince him to stay.
Still have Mike Williams, Trey Parker, Jahseem Felton, and Assane Mbaye.
I see at least one more transfer out coming.
We have two new commits and Williams to date. No other player still on the roster will get quality minutes.
Mike and Trey are too much alike, not good enough to get paid as BE starters IMO. Also very similar to Wilcher. All 3 are tweeners, lack the skills and mindset to be full-time PGs and don't score enough to be full-time SGs. All 3 are good defenders and fit Sha's defensive-minded, Socialist roster construction. But in an ideal world they are bench players for a good BE team. Probably 1 of Mike and Trey will walk.
I would think Felton, with the injury is in a similar state as Godswill and should go down a level. Mbaye should go down a level to get some playing time unless he's content being a practice player.
