Had to do a double-take because Brian and Gerard were discussing Kiff8n to Auburn rumors and Leach's offense underperforming during the season. Turns out it was the show from pre-egg bowl 2022.

dude built the first data center in the state and sold it, with his part being about $200 MM. He's done alright for himself and is pretty connected. IIRC, he tried to get himself selected as OM Chancellor, before they hired Boyce. hear rumblings he's giving thought to running for Gov next time. If Tommy Duff jumps in, though, everyone else will move to the side, accept maybe Gipson.

Boyce was the choice the whole time, they just had to make it look like they took consideration for others bc folks within the IHL were leaking names (this comes from someone directly sitting on the IHL)

I like GG.....dont know anything about his wife other than the Jackie Sherrill lawsuit....seems JWS won that .....don't think GG could ever be governor due to his wife's dealings with JWS

Andy Gipson may want to be governor.......but he doesnt stand a chance....remember Gov Bryant appointing him to Ag Commissioner? There was a reason why....Shad White will most likely be the next governor if Hoseman doesnt want it. I follow Mississippi politics pretty close, and ive never even heard of Tommy Duff

He's just the only billionaire in the state of Mississippi. Click that link to see what he owns. He's running, and will more than likely be your next Governor. He's already hired campaign consultants and is vetting potential staff. When he announces, you'll see Hoseman, Fitch, and White fall to the side. White wouldn't stand a chance even if Duff wasn't jumping in. Fitch is about the same. Hoseman would, but he's not dumb. He won't run against Duff.
Delbert's just a Democrat that runs as a Republican, anyway. None of those three will run against Duff, though. He has FU money, and won't need contributions. Gipson will still run, though. He's not too bright.

Several other Mississippians including Tommy Duff's brother (business partner) would like a word!

Never heard of the richest guy in the state? Admittedly his “run for governor” has mostly consisted of mentioning the possibly a few times, some of which was reported.

I’m sorry but an Ole Miss fan that thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room sounds absolutely miserable to me not fine.

If Duff wants it, he will win. We did well with the last governor who came from the outside and was a business owner.

I'd like to see someone else outside of the machine win. SW Mississippi is no friend to the last 3 governors. Perhaps someone who sees that north Mississippi is not the only region with potential will run.
If Gipson runs and wins the nomination, I'm voting none of the above. He's a Hyde-Smith RINO.

I'm old enough to remember Cliff Finch running for and winning the governor's race in MS. Never underestimate the golly gee country bumpkin candidate in MS, then throw in the Baptist vote (Andy's a preacher) and you have all the makings for an underdog upset especially if you can split the Dems on a candidate
