Curt Cignetti, current Indiana Coach and former James Madison coach, is worth a look, too.
He can win 7 or 8 games a season at IU and have a job for life. IU is the B1G equivalent of UK, football is something to do while counting down to basketball season. I doubt he would leave that job to come to SC and have to deal with a delusional fan base that thinks we are some sort of football power.
I don't understand the thought process of people who assume that any coach SC might be interested in talking to would be interested in taking the head coach job here. This is a program with no history of winning big outside of about 8 or 9 seasons in 130 years. We are the little brother to Clemson when it comes to football and not in an Auburn to Alabama way. Auburn has won championships and is a program with a pretty good history.
We need to find an up and coming FCS or G5 coach who is looking to make a name building a program. I don't think any successful current P4 coach is going to want to leave and go to a job at a program like ours.
