Eh it’s just the AP poll. At the end of the day all that mattters is we need to just go handle business and beat Clemson. Then let it shake out however it will.
I agree.
Let's be honest though, committee isn't letting anyone with 3 losses in that's not Alabama or someone like them.

Im not so sure. I think the committee recognizes what we bring to the table. At first it was an elite D, now we have an evolving offense with Sellers at QB. I think we are fully on the radar

We gained three spots playing Wofford. Clemson gains 5 spots playing El Cid. Now we get to play a team ranked higher than Bama and Ole Miss. This is probably the best outcome we could have hoped for.

To be honest, if things shake out, they may decide is better to have a an SEC team that’s hot than a non-power four with two losses. Our strength of schedule and George’s are the only two good ones in the top 25.

I don’t foresee us jumping Bama, but again these aren’t even the rankings used. Once the CFP comes out, we will know if Clemson is actually ranked higher than them. AP poll sucks anyway….not so sure the CFP will give that much recognition to the BIG 12 either. Arizona State barely beat Mississippi State and Texas State to open the season. And their 2 losses are Cincinnati and Texas Tech 🤷🏻

In all honesty, if we both end up with three losses, we shouldn’t jump Bama. Or Ole Miss. They did beat us head to head, and at some point, that has to matter. Sucks for us.

If I had to guess, the Big 12 probably gets the automatic champion bid and that is it. Boise is probably in as is ND along with the other three P4 conference champions.
Big 10, SEC and ACC split the remaining six spots. I could see of those six, Big 10 getting three more, SEC gets two more and ACC gets one more. Total of 4 Big 10, 3 SEC, 2 ACC, 1 Big 12, ND and Boise. In other words, no three loss SEC team unless the third loss is had in the SEC championship game. We will see tho.

In all honesty, there's really only 11 spots.

1 is reserved permanently for Noodle Lame. They could be 0-12 and get the #12 spot.

If things pan out like they likely will, there will be a 6 way tie for 4th place in the SEC standings.
We were one bad call away from a lot.

Yes, they won the head to head, but the total body of work is better. If SOS, good vs bad wins, and good vs bad losses at all, SC should jump those programs.

Maybe the voters and the committee will wait to see what happens next week.
