be ridiculous, but hell, I wouldn't be totally against following him with Stratton. As you said, going all out for winning this game. I know that puts us in a bad situation if we lose. This is all based off of us scoring some runs. Hell Routt and Stratton can't seem to get passed 3 IP anyway. Throw them 3 each then Jones (the goodJones that shows up about 2x a year)then Reed. Again, I know this is pretty out there but what the hell.

2 walks. Also, some on this board have mentioned that he has had arm pain over the last couple of weeks. But, you want to throw Stratton in relief(where we have the lead or the game is tight) in the most important game of the year? We have a fresh Stark, Reed, Statz, and Jones...but you want to throw Stratton?

Edited to Add: Our best option is to avoid Stratton. If we have a chance to win this one with solid start from Routt, then we go with Jones/Stark/Girodo(matchup lefty). We close with Reed.

If things look bleak after Routt...and by bleak I mean down 4 or 5 runs,then we finish out the game with Stratton.

We start Graveman in the Monday game and we win it by committee with Pollorena/Stark/Jones/Reed.

he has worked out his problems. If he's on, he is as good as we got.

Having said that, I would give him almost no wiggle room because he can get in trouble in a hurry. If we lose tonight without throwing Reed, I would play it just like the Saturday game against LSU. Try to get three inning out of Stratton and bring in Reed.
