but I think Beamer should bench Rattler for Doty and have someone else on the coaching staff call for the Offense. I think it would at least show he is not screwing around. What are other opinions

Like most coaches, he's stubborn and doesn't want to fall on his sword. SOS was the exception. He has to show willingness to make a move.
kinda disagree. I think Beamer knows...... he's just going to wait to the end of the season to fire Satterfield. He'll use him as a scapegoat / re-energize the fanbase with a new OC / and that way, regardless of if next season is successful or not, *THAT* alone will buy him a guaranteed year 4....Like most coaches, he's stubborn and doesn't want to fall on his sword. I think he knows also. I'm referring to making a move at QB. It sounds like you are referring to the OC. I agree, the OC move will come after the season.kinda disagree. Gotcha. I support your decision to make a change at QB immediately and permanently. The saying goes "for better or worse." - > Perspective > Upside : We couldn't find a worse QB right now even if we really tried. Rattler is not QB material. May as well bite the bullet and get it over with.I think he knows also. I'm referring to making a move at QB. It sounds like you are referring to the OC. Well excuuuuuuuuuuse me............... you seem to be under the assumption he has "skills" <sarcasm - ish> I certainly haven't seen any. 5 Td's - 9 ints (not arguing with you man - just venting)I'm still split on Rattler. Is he playing well? No. But this offense is garbage. And it's not an offense that's suited to his skill set. So he's in a garbage offense that ill suited for his skills.
It is like we either throw the ill-advised dump pass to a RB while he's covered by 2-3 LBs/safeties, or we throw a long pass.My Thoughts on the offense.
- Every play tonight it seemed like our Oline consistently missed blocks. There seemed to be no communication.
- For some reason when Lloyd when out we tried to run Juju up the middle. But he's 180 lbs. They need to get him in open space or run him to the outside.
- I don't think we ran a single slant route all game.
- Our plays take way too long to develop, i.e. wheel routes.
- Why is Jaheim Bell a non factor? He wasn't even target tonight. Maybe someone who has game tape can figure out if he was even in on any plays.
Weapons? He has two very good tight ends and some good WR's. How many times was Bell targeted last night? It’s hard to say this being a lifelong Gamecock fan. But Rattler is playing on a garbage offense. I don’t think C. Shaw would have done any better. Any QB needs weapons.
You can play in up to four games and still keep your red shirt right? The BOT is not going to approve new contracts for Satterfield nor the O-Line coach. Beamer doesn’t have to fire them, the BOT has taken care of that.
I would love to let Doty play, but the thought process is to let him redshirt.
We are 2/3 into the season so it's too late to change who may be calling plays from here on out, as for Rattler, if one is being honest, he is serviceable at best, along with his propensity of overthrowing his receivers a fair amount of the time. However, to be fair the lack of OL consistency doesn't help him out.but I think Beamer should bench Rattler for Doty and have someone else on the coaching staff call for the Offense.
