I need a new show to stream, since my summer calendar just opened up.

That was surprisingly really good; well written, well acted, wasn't filmed in a trick-you small scale, etc. It was suggested to me by the algorithm for a while. Finally took a flier on it & glad I did.
Almost done with season 2. When they revealed the history between Flint and Hamiltons, I didn't see that angle coming.

Was just commenting with someone about how so many shows really are predictable and some of this is too, but it does keep taking some new turns.

Ok, so I just discovered “Fleishman is in Trouble” on Hulu. For any of you fathers that have ever been divorced out there, it kind of nails it.

Big ups to whoever recommended Loudermilk. About 4 episodes in, it's almost giving Ted Lasso vibes if you strip away all the saccharine and earnestness.

Black Sails on Netflix.

It would be GoT at sea, but way more boobs.

Agreed.

Is it historically acurate? Not in the least.

Is it entertaining as hell? Absolutely.

It helps if you've read "Treasure Island" before you start watching the series, since it's sort of framed as the prologue to the book.

Like most shows, it loses some steam as the show goes along, but there are some big time laughs in those early episodes.

One that I can tell you to keep off your list: The Acolyte

I've been very forgiving of the Disney Star Wars shows and have even enjoyed a few of them, but this thing is hot garbage. Every character on that show is a complete idiot and every solution requires a wiiiiiiiild logical leap that happens to be correct.

Since this thread is still going:

I've watched both seasons of Outer Range. @She Mate Me and @Son_of_34 y'all are both correct; good but somber and confusing. I noticed Josh Brolin directs it. Whoever wrote it has great taste in music. I don't think it was supposed to be funny, but the funeral scene with the singing was hilarious.

George and Tammy was really damn good. I just started Billy the Kid.

Hell on Wheels is a great one I haven't seen mentioned here, for others looking.
