They blew the ceiling outta the house! What a win!!!! What a season!!!
Honestly, I was wrong, if we weren't sloppy we could've won 11. But I posted this because I told people to stop bad nothing the coaches before the season, guaranteed we'd go bowling, said 9-win ceiling, named the teams I thought were pretenders, was only wrong about Ole Miss. I got crap for not having a specific number for wins so I figured I'd brag on my ceiling getting hit because screw fake fans who tear down the team while not knowing football.
I say screw fake fans who predict anywhere from 6 to 9 wins, then try to brag that they got it right with a pathetically vague prediction that covered almost all reasonable scenarios.
But, at least you stood by your "prediction" and didn't run and hide on the pay side of the board.
Why entertain the peanut gallery. You didn't believe in your team when you had every reason to. You did the reverse recruiting all of season for the team you claim to support. You said we'd miss a bowl. I decided when I was getting crap from you is be here if we got the ceiling I said. I wasn't here to make vague predictions, I was telling you to stop bad mouthing the team. You're standards are nothing u agreed to. We got my ceiling and blew yours out of the water. You told me effectively that I was a native young homer to think we could win 9. You lost. You were wrong. You said things that hurt the perception of the team because we contribute to the narrative. Well this works out well for me. Because, the brain fog always sets in for me by August. I always predict 10 wins every year despite the drivel the team presented the year before. So I’m on track! 
You're missing the point. I rejected your standard. I didn't want to say a total, I have a range because I didn't know how it would bounce, but I guaranteed we'd win more than 5 and you guaranteed we'd not win 9. The only reason I talked to you was because your negativity is toxic to the team. I spoke with dozens of other fanbases over the season and consistently heard Beamer was on the hotseat because of dumb **** takes longer yours. Players don't commit to coaches on the hotseat. We got whittled off of the lists of every top 100 player who liked us, almost all before we started getting hype from the TAMU game.
Just because you wanted a number doesn't make you any less wrong or any less damaging for the team.

And it does. Hotseat talk is based on what people say about a program. Most message boards, Twitter etc. Players see people saying on Twitter, message boards and reddit that we won't make a bowl, and just like everyone else, it affects what they think of the team and staff. When we believe and give reasons, it changes the discussion around the team and the perception changes. It's the same concept of virality in the internet age, you jaded disconnected old fart who thinks there's any media more on than social media.

And just so we're clear, I went over how the roster was turned over, I said the OL improvement, better run game and better defense was a better gain than what we lost from Rattler and XL leaving. I broke down why I was sure that all but 2 position groups would be improved. I pointed out how narrowly we missed the bowl. I said what positions we were to half of the SEC in and said if you're going to blast the team, why don't want of my points move the needle. I was mocked, dismissed and caricatured, for saying people shouldn't blast the coaches and teams because of what was inevitable with our OL depth last year. So yeah, I'm gonna take a victory lap because I was right about every bit of my rationale, for which I was dismissed out of hand, including the simple mixing repeat that we were top half in the SEC, the one concrete prediction I was comfortable with.
And deservedly so. Don't forget you called some friends who said you were so smart. That was a real winner along with the video game.

And yes, saying my claim was I know all there is to know about football is because I play video games is a strawman, because it's not even close to what I said, you picked it to make an easier argument to beat.
You were actually quite wrong. You guessed our record 4 separate times, and were wrong on 3 of them.
If you actually had the guts to make a call that wasn't so all encompassing, you would probably deserve some credit. As it stands, you didnt, and so you don't.
