I think it’s time for a new nickname for Deion Sanders

How bad is it going to be when he loses his quarterback and Travis Hunter? Yikes.

If it isn't clear yet he's there just to shine the light on his kids and extract as much money as possible

If there isn't a term for schizophrenic avatarism , I say we call it Singular Lobo Multivariant Syndrome.

Say what you want, but if Colorado wins out, which is very possible, they’re in the playoff. I had my doubts about Deion after last season, but this season, he has shown to be a pretty darn good coach. If they make the playoff, Travis Hunter wins the Heisman and Deion is national COY. But he would never be a fit here because the blue hairs and good ole boys would hate his flashy style. Whenever Florida State moves on from Norvell though, Deion should be their first call.

Sometimes lost amid all the hype and bling surrounding this new version of Buff football is another well-worn page out of the college playbook that Sanders is putting his own stamp on.

“We don’t only want to coach them, we want to mold them and mature them and love them,” said Sanders, who is hardly the first college coach to embrace that role. “We love these young men in a multitude of ways. Some of these young men have never heard that word from a man. So, it’s vital that they not only hear it but we show it.”

Yep. People have been talking shìt about Colorado and Deion for 2 years on this board. Yet when he took over that was the worst power 5 program in the country. Fast forward 2 years and now they are talking playoffs while we are now in the conversation for the worst power 5 program in the country. And don't give me the easy schedule crap .. their schedule has always been easy and we got torched by Toledo who's in 6th place in the 17ing MAC.

They have a very easy schedule, with his schtick, he gets a lot NIL money to spend which is at least as important as coaching in today's game. And no one is proclaiming Lebby for COY and us for the playoffs.

Deion has been one of the best hype men since 1988, not much has changed. Most head coaches are highly skilled hype men, many use a different style that Deion. Most are much more discreet about getting "the big bag" than Deion.

Hard to imagine a playoff team that lost to the one and only ranked team they played (#20), and one loss to an unranked Nebraska made them look pitiful.

But if there is one coach that can make many fans jump on the hype train and dismiss real stats, it is Deion. Colorado is probably the #5 team in the Big 12, but many folks are already thinking they win out and beat BYU. Wild.

Let me introduce you to the Texas Longhorns. I know you had an and..... in your post, but still, Texas.
Texas has questionable schedule and yes have lost handily to Georgia at Austin. But they have a very solid team if you look at the raw stats. Take a look at this site, it is not perfect but it is a decent combined ranking system.

I don't believe Deion is making any in game decisions or play calls. He looks like a fan standing on the sideline when they play.

BUT he is one hell of a recruiter and can generate NIL money. Which is a majority of the job today.
