Could be nothing, could be bitching online, could be not giving any more $$$.

Just curious how serious everyone is about it.

Not renewing my season tickets.

In its current state, MSU football doesn't give me anything to be curious about next season... let alone excited to go to a game. At least at home I get to change the channel... unlike when I'm sitting in the stands....

All of the above. Pretty sure I've just about bitched online about all I can about Hutzler. He's coming back and nothing any of us can do about it. I did cancel my Bulldog Initiative monthly bank draft a couple of weeks ago and won't be contributing to the Excellence Fund. I have zero faith in Selmon or Lebby to spend the money they do have effectively, so why give them more?

It's hard to imagine that I could give any less of a 17 about this program and its leadership from top to bottom. The fact that it is even debatable that this guy could conceivably be retained demonstrates the depths that have been plumbed to reach this milestone of $h!++!ness. We are talking Mariana Trench depths. Never in a million years did I dream that TInkle's crxxms hire could be eclipsed for shear $hi++iness. But the Lebby hire and the hires made by Lebby appear to have been worse than crxxms. Unbelievable.

Let’s be honest, firing Hutzler would be the absolute, bare bones minimum that fans of any half reputable football program should expect after this past season. Doing that and bringing in an actual proven DC might move the anticipation needle a hair, but again… we’re talking bare minimum expectations

If we seriously can’t or won’t even do that, it puts the nail in the coffin as far as my view of our athletic administration. They’ve got incredibly difficult jobs, and I don’t blame Selmon or Lebby for every mistake. I sure as hell expect them to own and fix the bad ones, though. If they don’t have the wherewithal to do this or you know, actually perform their jobs as leaders… I will not give a dime towards Stste football until they’re all gone. All of them

As much as Hustler needs to go, that's also important. Any DC should have say his staff. So what's the total buyout? Or would they get re-assigned and go along with that or quit?

the next question is, what about the other defensive staff members? Is everyone just retaining their job when they were the worst defense in college football?!

I won't renew my tickets. Not worth all that money and getting bugged for more all the time when we're big fat p u s s i e s who reward failure. Lebby can suck it too! He's lost as a damn goose as a HC and doesn't have the balls to be ruthless in the SEC like you have to be. He hides behind silent Bob our AD.

about tap out - baseball rebounding last year delayed it

My son will not likely make the same mistake from a fan perspective as I did 🤷‍♂️

I chose MSU Engineering over LSU Engineering

It just tells me that we aren't serious about fielding a decent defense and that this whole coaching change might be a really bad example of the buddy system at its worst. If we get a new DC, I could fall back into my standard level of excitement based on hope. If not, I'll simply be disengaged until things improve one way or another.

This season, every game, at least once, I saw a name that on the field that I had no idea who it was. Could be old age, could be NIL/free agency, could be a combo, but it's weird.

If he is retained then DT and rest of defensive staff has to go. Someone has to answer for that pathetic performance on defense this year. Hutzler needs to be the one but if Lebby just can’t do it then rest of staff needs to be retooled around Hutz

I don’t get season tickets anymore, so I can’t cut that. I could cut bulldog club donation but I’d hate to do that given several other sports rely on that too.

It’s just unfortunate, if he is retained, because the defense displayed no sign of improvement. To make a case to keep the defensive staff, you have to accept that we had just dog **** players. I’d be willing to bet the problem was a mix between talent and coaching. But it was such a colossal failure and we should be looking to replace both (talent and coaching). I’d be looking for as many new defensive players as possible and new coaches.

Im not going to say “we don’t care about winning if we retain the DC” because I don’t think that’s true. But by making the decision to keep him, if next year is a repeat, people are going to want to blow everything up. This is not a smart move by lebby.

Raise your hand if you've never seriously considered asking yourself this question about the state or condition of the football program at MSU:

"Is this what it feels like to be a Vanderbilt fan?"

That's where I am at the moment.
LOL they've got a lot more reason to be optimistic than us at the moment .

I care for two ninety-year old parents who are falling apart. Going to games is a relief from the difficult situation, but this year was a nightmare of arranging sitters or siblings. When I got to the games I was shock at how the “worthy opponents “ ran thru us so easily. Now, the BC just asked me for $2000 for “excellence”. I have to think about this opportunity to support the school. Right now, I am not inclined to give anything to the sh*t show my school put on the field.

2024 has been the least amount of stress I've put myself under on Saturdays for a long time. If so, 2025 will allow me to ultimately just wait till baseball season and not worry about MSU sports.
