1. Change Football unis to the interlocking throwbacks.

2. Dudy Noble doesn’t get touched for 15 years at least. Waste of money.

3. 80% of resources go directly to football with the remaining going to men’s basketball.

4. Partner with Elon Musk to get more NIL money. Let him build some Space X training ground on campus.
At least you got one of four right which happens to be #4.

Mississippi State is a wonderful place, show off what we do with vocational rehabilitation. When I was moving into the dorms for my junior years and senior year. Dad called over 30 universities throughout the southeast and Mississippi State has the best set up of all of them. For every other university, we would have to private pay the tutor or notetaker, Mississippi State through Ability works , is able to pay students directly every two weeks. In addition, Dad called the University of Southern Mississippi, and the University of Mississippi.

They both said “if your son or daughter has a disability, the best place to go is Mississippi State University.” I would promote the hell out of this.

I was told by multiple students who are a part of the disability community that I was one of the main reasons why they went to Mississippi State.

I’ve been on commercials, I’ve been featured on the university website and then talked to the teams as a motivational speaker, as well as spoke with the Clarion ledger.

The reason why I know a little bit about what we do is I was a turn for the athletic department, my senior year and setting in several meetings with athletic officials.

I would be
If you were hired as State’s Athletic Director today, what would be the first issue you’d address or area you’d evaluate?
determining exactly what our future financial liability will be under the new revenue sharing rules. I would then be looking to trim everything I could from all sports but football and men's basketball.

If it was this easy, MSU would have already done it. The treads on the west side are like 28", you need 33" to do proper chairbacks. 30" is possible but extremely uncomfortable to most.
What is the tread of the 100 level west side? There are chairbacks there.

Transparency about NIL. Let the fans know where we are with NIL funding and what it would take from the fans to compete. Stop hiring first timers for every position. Formulate a fund raising campaign strictly for NIL.

We already charge for those cheapass uncomfortable chairbacks that you can rent. I'm sure folks would be willing to spend that for some seats that are actually comfortable and DCD-sized.
I remember the questions on that bigass survey they sent out last year, and I don't think their ideas about chairbacking the stadium are even remotely affordable compared to the current situation.

I could never be an athletic director. I tend to piss too many people off.
Effective leadership is not about pleasing everyone. If that’s what’s happening, you ain’t doing your job.

You’d do well because you know some will be pissed. 17 ‘em….they’ll live

We're gonna have to get out of the box on fund raising if the current NIL/portal environment continues. We can't stand toe to toe with the rest of the SEC buy just passing the collection plate around . I absolutely don't have the solution but the problem is glaring . We need MO MONEY !

Don't sell yourself short, Selmons ain't exactly making folks happy and look at him

I would never get the job because I would draw a line that the fans set. It sounds elementary, but it's not. The cigar boys would not be happy with my tenure, because the average fan, aka the majority, would weigh heavily on my decisions.

I would be terrible at raising funds. I would have to put somebody in charge of that. I would put a little bit stronger people in charge of marketing. It is not because they're doing a crappy job cause I never see anything about this university in the Internet world. That may be my fault, but I don't think they are doing well.

I would put together a team of a few influential people from around the athletic side of the university. These folks would have to be carefully chosen - they can't be egotistical or any of that sort of thing. There has to be a strong, mutual interest in furthering MSU....not their own interests. From there, I compose a mission statement for the overall athletic department (which you probably should already have an idea of if you went through the interviewing process and took a job at MSU), and then separate ones for every single athletic program. State clearly what you want to do and how you accomplish it, and that reflects every decision made about that program. It supersedes even the coach, matter of fact, the coached is hired with those principles in mind.

Stop trying to make everything luxury.
Lower prices.
Bring back our baseball program to what it was. Bring back some fire.
lebby on a short leash.
Give students back more sideline in basketball since ticket holders don't show anyway.
Finish the damn ipf for football.
do away with any dumb skits on the board at football games.
add general seating for baseball so we can get some regular fans back.
add more shuttles for parking for game day. Focus on game day experience and fan experience. Make it enjoyable for people to want to go to a game. This includes getting coaching hires right.
Lastly stick a boot up somebodies arse to fix the transfer portal debacle we have right now. The ADs nationwide have got to fix that.

This is way more logical than expanding the end zone. Probably worth doing 2 or 3 sections and seeing if you can charge $10 to $15 a seat.
While I like maroon -(not red) chairbacks - no need to do that in the student section.
Mostly don’t sit and no use in replacing 1/3 of them every season from the backs being broken.
I’d then build a third tier level to the outfield terrace sections in right field and charge a hell of a lot more than what’s being charged now.
I’d call Vic and beg him to come back.
I’d hire a Sports Marketing Director and a Director of NIL from a high level sports team and make CW Deputy Director.
Evaluate what the next must needs are for the 5,10, 20 year plans.
